Question about Sony VAIO VGN-N130G/W Notebook

Missing Receipt Hi! I purchased a Vaio laptop from your guys about 11 months ago. The computer screen is no longer working. I've arranged with Sony to have it fixed under warranty, but they need a receipt. I can't find it. How do it get a new one from you guys? Thanks. Charles

The Adaptor does work with another appliance. But, does not work with the Docking Station anymore. The Docking Station is only 5 months old! Please help!

Hopefully, you have warranty and receipt. Usually, Store will accept a return. Otherwise Mfg warranty usually one year. sometimes they will arrange an exchange at the store. No receipt? problem. Bought with credit card? should be as good as receipt. Credit card co may help with the issue if you get resistance.

Proof of purchase in extremely reasonable. How would you likeit if someone stole your machine and it was easy to break into your bank details?
Did you pay by credit card? Use that as proof of purchase.
The only way is through your Sony Service Centre.

Probably memory stick(s). Are you comfortable taking a laptop apart to get at the memory sticks? If not, take it to a repair shop BUT at 9 months old, most units have a 1 year warranty. Contact the mfg with your purchase date, etc.

I purchased a 3 piece wicker swival chair with a round table. One of the chairs broke @ the swival part. I purchased it from Bog Lots a month and a half ago

I think you meant 'Big Lots' and if so, I would take the pieces back to the store to see if they are willing to replace it or refund your purchase price since no one can argue that any chair should only last a few weeks. Even if I no longer had the receipt from the purchase, if they still have them offered, I don't think you would get an argument from them about the missing receipt. If you don't have the receipt and the item is no longer offered, you may be out of luck since it most likely was made in China.

I have a sony vpcea24fm laptop. New purchased about two months ago. Screen is blank but I can see only mu mouse. Charger is plugged in but the yellow light is blinking. What should I do? Will not turn on.

If the computer is not booting to safe mode, please restart the computer and press and hold the F10 key. On that screen, you will see an option "System Restore". If computer is not booting to safe mode, you can try the above steps to perform a system restore.

If nothing works, perform a system recovery by pressing the F10 key and then selecting the option "Restore C Drive".

Computer won't boot- seems to happen when it's humid and i have the windows open in the house. nothing will start the computer- tried tech support. the next day, when it's not humid, computer starts. ...

Acer are having the same problem with some of their laptops not working properly when it's hot and humid.
I recommend that you send the laptop back and swap it for a different model as there seems to a fault with certain models.
If you have any data stored on the laptop back it all up before you send the unit back to Sony.
I know it's not the answer that you are looking for but you will be stuck with that computer having the same problem if you don't sent it back to Sony within a year of purchase.

Bought 6 months ago and will not boot up, with battrey out it will attempt to start for a couple of secs and then nothing

After 8 days of no life at all in the laptop , having 2 computer technicians around saying it was probably the motherboard and just about to send to Sony I pressed the power button and hey presto it worked again..Guess it was just sleeping or hibernating...after all it is spring now....Actually one guy of the many forums I have visited advised just to leave the Laptop alone and perhaps it would mend itself..and hey presto he was right, although having said that I have yet to turn the laptop off and startup again..HMMMMMMM...
