you need to run the Windows XP recovery console.. Should be on the XP CD..
Configure your BIOS to boot order your CD ROM drive first.. Have the disk in
the CD drive when you reboot, and choose the Recovery console from the menu..
Once it's loaded, and it asks which Windows Installation you would like to
access, choose the right one (usually # 1), then enter the ADMINISTRATOR
password then you'll be at a command prompt... There, you can view the
directory of the C: and the C:\windows folders, as well as the contents of
the XP disk in your CD drive.. you'll need to copy the "NTLDR.dll" file to
the Root directory, usually C:\ .. Reboot, if no succes you have to reinstall windows again.
Please make a copy of the 25 digit code.

Here you can download all the drivers

How to fix a NTDLR error problem?

Hi, The issue that you are having right now is that NTDLR is missing, it needs to be replaced or just to be sure, you have to reinstall Windows again on the computer. NTDLR is a part of the start up menu that starts your computer properly. You need to have Windows Installation discs.
Hope this helps. Thank you for using Fixya, you recommendation is highly appreciated for the free support

Why i always encounter NTDLR is missing????

The NTDLR file is either missing or corrupted. This is a essential system file for Windows to operate. Please click on this link and follow my instructions to repair missing or corrupted system file/s :-

If this doesn't work you will need to reinstall Windows.

Ntldr is missing

Check the connection between the hard drive and the motherboard. When you get the NTLDR warning, it is telling you that the hard drive is not being read. There maybe a failure with the hard drive itself.

Error message NTLDR missing on formatted hard drive

You need to either reinstall windows, or take the hard drive out, hook it up as a spare drive to a working computer and copy NTDLR to the root of the laptop hard drive. It would be much easier to reinstall windows. You can always use the recovery portion of Windows, but if I were you I would just do a format and reinstall. NTDLR is just a startup file for Windows XP, that does not mean your hard drive is gone or anything. Please don't forget to rate!..Thanks

Missing or corrupt \system32\hal.dll

You didn't need to replace the hard drive if there is a missing NTLDR file, it just means that the boot sector is missing or corrupt. You can fix it by putting in your WinXP CD, and choosing REPAIR.(This is known as the Recovery Console and it's in DOS just to warn you...) Then you can type the following at the dos prompt: fixmbr - Fixes corrupt master boot record fixboot - Fixes corrupt boot sector bootcfg /rebuild - Fixes corrupt or missing boot.ini
