Question about Refrigerators
There are only two things that cause it not to cool with a flame that lights and it does not cool.
1. System blockage
2. Loss of Coolant.
Sadly the only way to solve the problem is to have some refrigeration prssure gages connected to the system and check internal pressures. If you had it overhauled 3 years ago the fittings for connecting the gages should already be installed.
Who knows the valve stem in one of the fittings could have leaked over time or... a pin hole in the system some where.
You were correct in you assumption that since you had not smelled ammonia that it should not be the coolant system.
Just so you know a coolant leak area will appear yellowish in color if your using a white flash light.

Tips for a great answer:
Oct 25, 2014 | Camping, Backpacking & Hiking
Jul 24, 2014 | Dometic RM2652 Refrigerator
Jul 18, 2014 | Refrigerators
Oct 21, 2012 | Refrigerators
According to the manual the following is the most likely items to cause that failure. But since it is only in the frigerator section and not the freezer section it could be the lower circuit board.
Lower Circuit Board
