Question about iRiver T10 MP3 Player

1 Answer

No longer seen by any computer

Suddenly, none of my computers 'see' the T10. They make the 'USB connected tone', when I plug it in... But, nothing shows up in My Computer, or Explorer. I reformatted it. But, it reboots, and nothing is seen on the computers....
Any ideas?

You would hope that would work. But, it seems to be a T10 problem. I have tried to use it on several computers. The computers 'see' it in Hardware Manager..... But, nothing else happens... You do not 'see' it in 'My Computer', or any other program.... The T10 is screwed... It was a 'rebuild' on eBay..... Now, it is a 'rebroke', on my desk.....

But, thanks for adding a reply. That may help someone else someday.....

For me, having upgraded Windows Media Player to version 11 caused the problem you are experiencing. Find a computer with Windows Media Player Version 10, then use iRiver's firmware update tool to install new firmware (version 1.77), then your T10 will work fine even with Media Player Version 11.

I have plantronics t10, i have been able to use it in the past, but tried to plug it in today and the base red light (on/off) lights up red, but no dial tone. none of the buttons work.

It might be that you have a cord plugged into the headset jack. Try looking at that, if that is not it, it may be the cords are not plugged into the correct spot. I am sending you the Plantronics user guide for the T10 headset.

Good luck from Headsets Direct!

Why when i plug the MP3 player (YP-T10) into the computer, the computer says 'One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognise it'?

Here are a few things you can try:
1) Plug it in to other USB ports of your PC/laptop. The port might be faulty. 2) Replace the USB cable 3) Download the latest driver from Samsung's website here:

I can no longer transfer pictures from my camera to my computer

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

Logitech V220 Receiver not seen by Vista, but is seen by XP

I left the computer powered off for about an hour and when I rebooted (which I had done in previous attempts to solve the problem) the problem seems to have corrected itself. I plugged the receiver back into the same USB port and it was immediately recognized.
However, I remain skeptical that the problem is permanently solved based on the variety of issues listed with the V220 mouse and receiver.

Somehow the driver went missing. Click on "My Computer" and then click "view system information," then "hardware," then "device manager," then click on iRiver (it'll be there even without the driver) and then it will give you a yes/no option to look for driver software. Obviously, click "yes" but notice that you are also cued to put in a CD "if you have one." I still had the CD. It will search both the CD and online for a driver, but the computer found the driver software on the CD. Make sure you only put the CD in when cued to do so. If you don't have the CD, then contact iRiver about getting a driver download or having them send you a copy of the CD.
