The tumble dryer runs but no longer heats up, is it worth getting it repaired or should i replace it

elements are relatively cheap to buy but you need to get a quote from an appliance repair shop as sometimes the labor costs and the element cost make a new unit a viable proposition

I apparently need to buy or repair my water heating element, where and the cost???? everything else is ok, just cold water..

hot water elements for water systems cost around $50.00AUD and probably 1 hour labour fee by an accredited plumber with a limited electrical licence
There will be a mess as the removal of the element will allow the full tank of water to drain out

Should we repair heat element, or buy a new oven?

It sounds like your element is electric. When food drips on that element it can cause a heat spot on the insulation around the electric element and eventually burns through. You can easily replace that element for about $50 - $60. It requires about three hand tools and 15 minutes to remove old one and install a new one. You should be in business for another 14 years if you clean any drippings on the element itself.

Dryer Runs but does not heat up

Well if the fuse was blown it would not run so that is probably a broken heating element. Their is no need to buy the entire replacement pan and element, you can buy a restring kit for a fraction of the cost. I have repair photos and a service manual for newer models HERE

Oven not working - rest of appliance fine

It is most likely that the oven heating element has failed and will need to be replaced.

This not an overly expensive part to have replaced and should be much less than the cost of buying a new oven although you would need to compare actual costs in your area.

Heating element replacement

Without knowing more details (make, model, gas or electric), it's difficult to tell, but if you want know what part you need, you can visit repairclinic.com and they'll have parts listed AND photos of what the parts look like so you'll get the right thing.
It's definitely worth a look and a little effort. I find it hard to believe that you couldn't fix it cheaper than replacemtent of the dryer...
I think you're wise to ask this question...
Good luck on this... and let me know if you need more assistance.
