Question about Nokia N95 Cellular Phone

1 Answer

Help needed on N95 8GB

From time to time my N95 8GB malfunctions and the entire software has to be re-installed to make it work. The following are the issues I face:

1) Upon pressing the key for Camera shortcut( right hand side ), the keypad gets locked. The same key does not work any other function either.
2) Upon press the key “2” the following is displayed – “7283#”
3) Upon pressing the key “ * “ the following is displayed- “ 9*”
4) After selecting a particular number in Contacts and pressing the dial key, it asks for option of Voice Call or Video call. This is unusual as in normal cases the number gets dialled straightaway.
5) The left hand key has stopped functioning altogether.
6) All keys stop functioning after sometime.

Any answers. Once the software is re-installed, the phone fails again within 305 days

Please help

This problem is from your keypad Ic, Possibly it is working automatically. You need to change Keypad IC and then software re-install.

I recently purchased this 1999 Chevy Blazer and it wont pass inspection because the OBD2 Diagnostic trouble code states it's problem is, code P0440-Evaporative Emission System. The guy said it looks like...

The evaporative leak detection diagnostic strategy is based on applying a vacuum to the EVAP system and monitoring the vacuum decay rate. The VCM monitors the vacuum level via the fuel tank pressure sensor input. At an appropriate time, the EVAP purge solenoid and the EVAP vent solenoid turn ON, allowing the engine vacuum to draw a small vacuum on the entire evaporative emission system. If a sufficient vacuum level cannot be achieved, a large leak or an EVAP system malfunction is indicated.

The following conditions can cause this problem:
* A disconnected or malfunctioning fuel tank pressure sensor
* A missing, malfunctioning, improperly installed, or loose fuel cap
* A disconnected, damaged, pinched, or blocked EVAP purge line
* A disconnected or damaged EVAP vent hose
* A disconnected, damaged, pinched, or blocked fuel tank vapor line
* A disconnected or malfunctioning EVAP purge solenoid
* A disconnected or malfunctioning EVAP vent solenoid
* An open ignition feed circuit to the EVAP vent or purge solenoid
* A damaged EVAP canister
* A leaking fuel sender assembly O-ring
* A leaking fuel tank or fuel filler neck

Any of the above conditions can set a DTC P0440.

My computer won't recognize my camera. All of the USB ports are working (I checked them with other devices) but none of them are working for the camera...

  • Start EASYSHARE Software.

  • From the menu bar, select Help > About Kodak EasyShare software.

  • Note the software version. If you have Version 8.0 or later installed on your computer, review the help information for Transfer Pictures.

  • From the menu bar, select Help > Kodak EasyShare Help. When the Welcome to EasyShare Software window appears, select Transfer pictures, then read the help information.

  • If you do not have Version 8.0 or later installed on your computer, go to EASYSHARE Software Downloads, then follow the instructions to download the latest version of software. Approximate download time is 5 minutes for Cable/DSL, or 2 hours for a dial-up connection.

If that doesn't solve your problem you can manually add your pictures/videos to easyshare software.
  • In easyshare Software, select My Collection, then select Add Pictures. The Add Pictures screen appears.Look at the Select a location field. If the My Files folder is collapsed, click the + to open the folder. In the Select a location field, select your camera folder, for example: M381 Digital Camera. Thumbnails of the pictures/videos on your camera internal memory, and on a memory card if one is in your camera, appear.

  • Select the pictures/videos to add to EASY SHARE Software, then click Add Pictures. To add all the pictures/videos in the folder, click Add Entire Folder.Click Done.

Thank you

USB malfunction?

This is a common problem, hopefully you can recover, here is the link.
Basically, ya rip out all the USB layer registry settings totally. Then ya reinstall the entire USB layer all over again.
This removes any corrupt entries and "Zeros" it so to speak, back to the, from-the-factory-default-settings. All new and shinny.
Ready to have your devices that didn't work suddenly spring into life just as it was before.
Now make sure you have any/all Drivers and Software, to reinstall, as it will be like installing the USB device for the first time..
Ok now, if all this doesn't work.. then unfortunately there is a good chance ya USB "Thingy" is beyond recovery. Oh well can't win them all.

Dell Latitude D610 -- Windows XP Professional

the freeze up problem is due to the limited HHD space or memories. please check your HHD and see how much free sapce you have, and check your memories. the base system came with 256MB, which is too little for anything to work porperly. for you to connected to teh wireless, you should have minimum 1GB of memories. some people may disagree with me, but that is what I found to work better, if you have more than required memories.

You problem is not (usually not) the output roller at all but the gears located on the sidewall on the left inside the caity where the fuser installs. There is a repair kit out to fix all of the issues relating to the fuser grinding, machine noise and output roller issues all at one time. It's available at Seattle Platen 1-800-221-2388. Just ask for Dale and tell him you need the 2400 gear repair kit. It runs 10 to 15 dollars.

Hope that helps you.

There are a number of possible answers, but first you need to provide more information. Is your printer USB 2.0; did you buy everything as a complete system; is your all-in-one printer also a scanner and fax; is there more than one connection available to the printer, i.e., USB and/or parallel cable???? These are just some of the questions.

If your printer can be connected via USB or parallel cable, decide first how you want to connect it and whether the USB is version 2.0; or 1.1/1.0. Most likely it is 2.0 as are most newer models. If you bought it separately and it's an older model, there is a chance it may not be. As with most USB devices, a USB connection requires that you install the software CD first, then shut down/turn off your entire system and unplug it from the wall. Also, you are likely to be more successful if you unplug everything from your system before software installation for USB. Install one thing at a time. After shut down, wait 30 sec., and then make the physical connections between your printer and the computer using the USB cables, etc. Supplied with the printer. If you decide to use the parallel cable connection instead, the installation sequence is in the reverse order; make all the device connections first and then install the software CD. There are a number of other possible things to be considered if this does not work out entirely as expected, but this is a good place to start. My experience has taught me a good rule of thumb to follow when dealing with anything involving the computer: The very first step should always be to locate the documentation. It is often referred to as one of the following: Help files; User's guide; Operation manual; Microsoft Compiled Help files; User Support Documentation. You can usually find it on the CD-ROM that accompanies hardware devices, the CD that comes with retail software, or the Help folder, support documents, and/or User files that accompany downloaded software from a web site. Sometimes you will find it referred to as on-line Help/or support files which you read over the Internet. . . . . And IF ALL ELSE FAILS, READ THE DIRECTIONS FIRST!!!

Here you have manuals for this printer :

Here is download link for the driver if ur cd is damanged:

OPS...if u tried to install driver and u cant just change the directory ( do not save in program files, siply create one folder and save there )
