Question about Nokia N95 Cellular Phone

1 Answer

Help needed on N95 8GB

From time to time my N95 8GB malfunctions and the entire software has to be re-installed to make it work. The following are the issues I face:

1) Upon pressing the key for Camera shortcut( right hand side ), the keypad gets locked. The same key does not work any other function either.
2) Upon press the key “2” the following is displayed – “7283#”
3) Upon pressing the key “ * “ the following is displayed- “ 9*”
4) After selecting a particular number in Contacts and pressing the dial key, it asks for option of Voice Call or Video call. This is unusual as in normal cases the number gets dialled straightaway.
5) The left hand key has stopped functioning altogether.
6) All keys stop functioning after sometime.

Any answers. Once the software is re-installed, the phone fails again within 305 days

Please help

This problem is from your keypad Ic, Possibly it is working automatically. You need to change Keypad IC and then software re-install.

MY NOKIA N73 MAIN CAMERA IS NOT WORKING.

Please detail the specific error of the phone. Is the application itself not working or the shortcut buttons are not working(sliding panel, right side button). If it is a software malfunction, try doing the following:
1. factory reset(default code 12345)
2.format card (backup and restore, because sometimes the card gets "broken" virtually)
3.re-install OS
If there are problems with the shortcuts try this:
1. if the side-panel is faulty , try buying a new one
2. if the side button is the one not working, try opening the camera from any other shortcut

Software and coverage problems

Hello and Welcome to FixYa!
Hmm, it may be the software problem but I am also smelling some hardware malfunctioning here. Even though why shouldn't we try what we can. Yes sure you can download and install the latest updated firmware from the link I've provided below, BUT for this you should have the USB Data Cable and an active internet connection. If you have them just follow the link, all required information / guide and software are available there. Download the utility, install it and run it. The wizard will guide you on how and when to connect the phone.
Note: Also backup the data/contacts before updating as after that the phone will be in out of the box condition.
If you are having any trouble/questions, do ask me. We are here to help.
If you think I was of help, your token of appreciation in the form of rating will be esteemed.

Sony w910i insert sim problem. wat is the remeady for that problem

Hello and Welcome to FixYa!
Sir, this may be due to hardware or software malfunctioning, but you yourself can only rectify the software end, if in case. To do so you need to upgrade your Phone's firmware, that may be buggy. All you need is the USB Data Cable (That comes with the new phone) and an active internet connection. If you have them, follow the link I've provided below, to download and install the SE Update utility. Once installed, it will guide you on how and when to connect the phone, Its easy as 123, and there are many chances that your issue will be resolved. its worth a try. If you have already or if you will have the same problem after Upgrading your firmware, then definitely its the hardware issue, in that case your phone needs a service.
I Hope you will have a clear picture now, if you are still having problems/questions, do ask me, We are here to help.

First, download and install the latest version of BlackBerry Desktop Manager software from: https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/contactFormPreload.do?code=A8BAA56554F96369AB93E4F3BB068C22&dl=DA5FB46338C8C0DCB1039F7898184FC5

Once installed, connect your BlackBerry to your computer via the USB sync cable. Open Desktop Manager, and click the Application Loader. On the right, you will see Update your device software. Click the Start Button, and if your BlackBerry is not on the latest Handheld Software, an update will appear. Select the update, and run the install. Be sure to select the option that backs up and restores your data. Once started, do not shut down your computer, or disconnect the USB sync cable as this could damage the device.

Once completed, your BlackBerry will restart and you will have the latest version available. This version has been known to correct various issues, just like this.

If the issue is still present, then it could be hardware related, and may need to be repaired or replaced. I would then suggest contacting your Provider for Hardware Support.

My phone wont connect to the computer

This is happening because you forgot to install the software needed for a computer to recognize your phone. Did you have the support cd of the phone? Use it to install the needed software. Just follow the on-screen instruction of the software and then you can get your phone work.

To know my the free download software of my phone

For those who are having connection problem with moto

Step 1. Get the software

Go to Motodev and download Motorola USB Driver (you will need to register)

Also download your chosen p2k program e.g. p2kMan

It would also be a good idea to locate RSD Lite – you will have to use Google to find this as it is classed as warez and we cannot give
links.

Step 2. Install the driver program

Extract the file “Motorola_EU_Driver_Installation.msi” from the zip file you downloaded.

Double click on this file and the installation will start.
2j10nef.jpg

Click next and the EULA will appear
30kvfid.jpg

Click on "I Agree" (obviously having read the agreement first Angel), then next.

The program will now install
477ybv9.jpg

Click close to end the install procedure

During the installation process you may see the following screen 1 or
more times
2z3nku0.jpg

Should this appear hit "Continue Anyway"

Step 3: Install the drivers

You will now have a new program group in your start>programs menu -"Motorola Driver Installer", with a shortcut called "Motorola Driver Installer.exe" within it.

Make sure the phone is disconnected at this time.

Run this program, and it will check whether the drivers are already
installed, when this is complete you will see the following screen
3ynqjd2.jpg

Under "Operation Mode" (lower left), select "Clean and Reinstall" (the bottom option).

Then hit "Start"

The program will then do its thing. When it is finished hit "Exit"

You may get the message about Windows Logo testing again - if you do hit "Continue Anyway"

Step 4: Connect the phone

Make sure the phone is turned on then connect the USB cable. It is best
to use a USB port on the rear of the PC rather than front mounted ports
as these sometimes connect to the motherboard via a hub

When you plug the phone in Windows will find new hardware - Motorola
Phone (V3), then Motorola USB Modem. The installation should
complete without intervention.

You should now be able to connect using Mobile Phone Tools, the phone
should also be charging.

We now want to install the P2k Drivers. First make sure MPT is not
running.

Now with the phone still connected run one of the P2k programs, I generally use P2kMan - but thats just me. Its best not to use p2k Tools as this may start in AT mode and confuse matters.

When you do this Windows should find several new devices and after a
short while the new hardware wizard will run. In the rare event the new
hardware wizard does not start, install and run RSD Lite.

The first screen to appear asks if you wish to connect to Windows Update
4doul8l.jpg

Select "No, not this time", then click on "Next"
49ibkog.jpg

Choose "Install the software automatically (Recommended)", then hit "Next"

The driver for Accessories Interface is then installed, after a short
while the following screen is displayed
43zbj10.jpg

Click "Finish"

The new hardware wizard will then run again
4doul8l.jpg

Once again select "No, not this time", then click on "Next"
44vvxc1.jpg

This time the wizard asks for drivers for "Data Logging MCU Interface".

Choose "Install the software automatically (Recommended)", then hit
"Next"

Again the drivers are installed then after a short while the
following screen is displayed.
2en6n47.jpg

Click "Finish"

The new hardware wizard will then run for a third time

At the first screen select "No, not this time", then click on "Next" in the same way as before
2qixsnl.jpg

This time the wizard asks for drivers for "Test Command Interface".

Choose "Install the software automatically (Recommended)", then hit "Next"

Again the drivers are installed then after a short while the following screen
is displayed.
2iu6ni0.jpg

Click "Finish"

Your P2k drivers are now installed and the P2k programs should
recognise the phone

Remember if you connect using a different USB port in the future,
Windows will recognise new hardware and you will need to repeat these
steps

Step 5: Flash Interface Device

If at anytime you choose to flash your phone you will need the Flash
Interface device installed. This device is used to communicate with the
phone while it is in bootloader mode.

In order to run the hardware installation wizard for this device you
can do one of two things. Either use RSD Lite to flash the phone as
normal (browse to the file and hit start) and RSD Lite will switch the
phone to bootloader mode for you. Alternatively you can start in
bootloader manually (hold * and # while turning the phone on), then
connect the USB cable.

Either way the new hardware wizard will run again.
4doul8l.jpg

As before select "No, not this time", then click on "Next"
314uwpu.jpg

Choose "Install the software automatically (Recommended)", then hit
"Next"

Again the drivers are installed then after a short while the following screen
is displayed.
441m1jo.jpg

Click "Finish" and you are done - you can now flash your phone with RSD
Lite.

Once more remember if you connect using a different USB port in the
future, Windows will recognise new hardware and you will need to repeat these steps
