It is generally said that when it starts to chip you are suppose to no longer use the item in question. It is unsafe to ingest and is consider a carcinogen. It is unsafe to ingest. So if it is chipping for your health and others i would just replace the pan. If you need further assistance please let me know, thanks, Midwest-tek

Is it normal or safe for steam to come out of the air vents on my zanussi oven. Model ZCV66030BA? Doesn't seem very safe to me even though repair man says so

Our SamSung oven has steam coming out the vents when we cook certain things.
I think the repair guy is correct.

We too ended up with melted reynolds wrap standard aluminum foil lined and then melted to the bottom of our oven. The smell was terrible. The thing was, we didn't know it was the aluminum foil until we had...

It is very difficult to melt Teflon; 326.8 degrees Celsius or 623.24 degrees Fahrenheit, hotter than most ovens! Rapeseed cooking oil will have long before caught fire.
Teflon is not used on oven floors, walls or racks.
The melting temperature of aluminium foil is 660 degrees Celsius (1,220 degrees Fahrenheit) at standard pressure, so it won't melt with temperatures encountered in a standard household oven!
Toxic fumes from the Teflon chemical released from pots and pans at high temperatures may kill pet birds and cause people to develop flu-like symptoms (called "Teflon Flu" or, as scientists describe it, "Polymer fume fever").

Why does food get hard after cooking or reheating in a microwave

It's basically a loss of moisture during the cooking process, to avoid this in a standard oven cook on a lower temp for longer and cover with foil....in the microwave, drop the power setting and always reheat or cook with the food cover with a microwave safe cling wrap or microwave specific cookware with lids.
Hope this helps.
