Hi Sonia,

There are many internal fuse that controls the flow of current it is being blown so you have to replace the one accordingly. You should do continuity test to find out the which fuse is blown using ohm-multimeter.Check for any burn sign or for the fuse which is getting to heated. That is the defective one you have to replace the one.It will be of this shape.
In some fuse the internal lining will be broken so you can easily find it out.

The reason why the internal fuse blows out is due to the following reasons.
Make sure power wire is not pinched.
Make sure speaker wires are not pinched.
Install fuse of correct rating and size.

Sometimes The battery and ignition wires are not connected properly. The yellow wire is for the battery and the red wire is for the ignition/ACC.

The volume reaches upto some level and it is not able to supply the required volts because of the defective fuse.
post a comment for further assistance.
Thank you for using fixya have a nice day:-)

I have the jensen cd3720 cd player and it stop playin music and comes back on by it self what can it be that makes the radio do that

Hi there,

Are you losing complete power? Or do you have power, but losing sound only?

Loss of Power:

If you can access the wiring loom of your Jensen, check the RED ignition wire to ensure its secure - this wire is responsible for powering the unit ON (with key ON) and OFF (when key is OFF). A multimeter will be a useful tool to check for power when key is ON.

If the RED wire is fine, then there could be an issue with the power supply on the unit. Check the fuse on the Jensen unit - if ok, then there is a fault in the Jensen unit.

Power, but no sound:

The unit is faulty and will require service (or replacement).

I just installed a jensen CD3720 on 87 camaro and there is 2 problems 1)i had nowhere to connected the negative wires on cd player.2)the volume is low i have to turn it to around 70 for it to sound...

I would hook ground up to ashtray or other metal. Double check your wiring.

Light burnt out on Jensen 311x cd car radio with removable face.

You will have to Open it up. These are Very small LED Lights and will need to be Soldered on to the Main Board inside the Unit. You can get these Bulbs at Radio Shack. Please Rate My Response! Thanks!

No Sound

check for a short. I experienced the same thing in my '86 F-250. Wires were replaced using a larger gauge, and crimped connectors with heat-shrink. Worked great.

Jensen CD3720 car stereo unit face plate LCD display blanks out.

The substrait is probably cracked, that's the circuits inside the pc board of the faceplate. It will cost you too much to try to have it repaired. If you will wait for a few days I may have a face for it as I'm currently trying to fix one that is blowing fuses. I'm not going to spend a whole lot of time on it. I'll let you know.

Aux imput

Usually on the rear of the radio, unless it is an obvious headphone-like jack on the front display. Depending on the model there may be inputs similar to the cables used on your tv, or other types of input connectors that are usually labeled, stamped into the case of the unit.
