Your phone is now switced off.It is build as this.Switch on it and then charge it.You should unplug charger before switching on.

Your display circuit is broken, even if the LCD-panel,
seems to be ok the display is damaged.
This is a very common problem in Nokia phones.
The only way to fix this is to change the display.
You need a T-5 or 6 Torx Skrewdriver to do the job.

nokia n72 has a slow operating system which gets even slower if the battery is low and thw problems are doubled if the memory is near full.
Sometimes unsupported applications hang on it which can only be stopped by removing the battery and restarting the phone.Restarting may take a lot of time but have patience and once the phone restarts delete the application which caused the hanging. An advice is to keep the memory card half empty.
My N72 (Nokia) phone’s display shows blank when switched-ON. Blank in the sense means that the display lights are ON, but no images in the display. Sometime the dispay comes and goes. In addition, the phone is not ringing or can’t make calls. Can anybody help me?
