If it is the connector, resolder the connector to the board, carefully...

If the connector is damaged, you can get new ones from several sources, including and

Also consider finding a connector to salvage from PC recycling outfits.

M-Audio MIDI Keyboard Controller's Loose USB Port

Open up and solder in a new Type-B USB socket. Get spare from any electronics parts supplier - it is a generic part. Just 4 solder points on PCB board.

How do I fix my Loose USB port on a midi keyboard?

If the port is still intact then it might just need to be resoldered. USB ports however to get strained and basically fall apart. Purchase another and solder it to the board. If you are not confident about doing this take it to your local Yamaha service centre.

Repair usb port

Be more specific. And if you do not know how to solder, and more importantly de-solder circuit boards, do not bother. Get it fixed professionally (maybe a computer repair shop) or get another keyboard.

LED Light not coming on

Did you get it used or brand new?

M-Audio is notorious for hardware related problems, mainly the USB ports. After awhile the ports wear and fail to hold the tight connection needed to keep the board fully functional. But I've seen the same problem with new boards too because of bad soldering.

If it's new then don't bother wasting time trying to figure it out. Just exchange it and save yourself the headaches. You may even want to look another board. If your partial to M-Audio then the Axiom is much better than the Oxygen. Either way, take advantage of the ability to exchange while you can, cause once that's over M-Audio will give you the finger.

I have an M-Audio Keystation 61es. Lately I've had random loss of power through the USB2.0 cable. The cable still powers my other M-Audio products, so the issue is the Keystation. It is possible...

I have the 88 key ones and powering via the USB is marginal... IF you have a place for an adapter, use one, as the computer USB is limited to 1/2 amp and OFTEN they limit at a little less and then the keystation is not reliable...

I need my usb port replaced on my vestax vci-300. Can you help?

The electronics of a USB port is fairly robust. Why do you think the USB port needs replacing? Or do you just mean the connector... Even those are fairly robust and if they wiggle, they may just need to be resoldered to the circuit board.

My hard drive and midi controller wont work with usb

When you connect a hard drive and any other USB device to a 4 port hub you have to use the external power supply all the time. You may have fried the power pins on the USB port you used to connect the 4 port hub. If you can get the hard drive to work separately on the USB port, the 4 port hub may no longer be passing power from the laptop.
