How do i take a black and white and sepia photo on olympus SP800UZ

The SP 800UZ doesn't have a black-and-white or sepia mode. You can convert a color picture to black-and-white or sepia by editing the picture on the camera. Full details are in the "Edit" section of the manual (page 38 in my copy). If you need a manual, you can download one from the manufacturer's web site at
http://www.olympusamerica.com/files/oima_cckb/SP-800UZ_Instruction_Manual_EN.pdf

In general, you're better off converting to black-and-white or sepia using photo editing software on a computer rather than doing it on the camera. The computer will give you much better control over things like brightness and contrast.

How do I change the settings to take pictures in Black & White? Thank you

From the shooting menu, select "Color." You can select "B&W" for black-and-white, or "Sepia" for the old-fashioned brownish look. For full details look in the manual under "Shooting menu." It's on page 32 of the online version of the manual available on the manufacturer's web site at

Is black and white an option for this camera?

You can produce sepia-toned images by selecting the picture effect.

In general, you're much better off shooting in color and converting to black-and-white using a photo editor on a computer. Once the conversion is done by a camera, you're stuck with it. Doing it on a computer gives you much more control over things like contrast and brightness.

How do you take black and white pictures?

Press MENU to display the menu, then select the Shooting menu.

The first item should be "Color", which lets you select the color mode. You can choose B&W for black-and-white or Sepia for sepia-toned.

Take a look under "Shooting Menu" in your manual. It's on page 32 in my copy.

Olympus FE 330

Unfortunately the camera does not have a menu option to take images in black or white or sepia. You can take them in color and then using photo editing software modify the image to be monotone or sepia in color.

Black and white

I found the user manual to your camera online and it states that you can only use black and white, and sepia when shooting movies. Here is a link to that manual http://www.docs.sony.com/release/DSCW30-W40-W50-W70.pdf Page number 32 is where it talks about using this option. Hope this helped.
