Hi Tim. OK. hook up the cable between the camera and the computer. A turn on both devices. A prompt will appear on your screen indicating that the two devices are "talking".
You will then see a menu of several choices. Choose the item which allows you to download. J.

Import photos from Fuji 460 to computer

Transferring digital photos from your camera is necessary to clear your memory card. Adobe Photoshop Elements makes downloading photographs easy, or you can import pictures to your computer with Windows. Then you can make prints, copy photos to a CD or DVD, and share them online.

I DON'T KNOW HOW TO DOWNLOAD PICTURES FROM MY OLYMPUS x-21 IHAVE NEVER DONE THIS BEFORE

Install the drivers for your camera on to your computer. The software should be provided on CD. If you don't have the CD, you can download necessary drivers/software from the Olympus site. You can then connect your camera to your computer by the provided cable. If a dialog screen doesn't pop up go to My Computer and find your camera.
Another way to upload your pictures, would be to insert the memory card into your computer. Again a dialog box should open prompting you to upload images to computer. If that box doesn't appear find your card in My computer and right click on the images and drag them to your desktop/file folder.

I have a Kodak Easyshare Digital Camera V803 . I have lost the cable that is necessary to hook up from the camera to my computer to download the pictures. Where can I purchase a new cable from?

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries. And if you have to buy a card reader, it's not going to cost you any more than a new cable.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

Is it necessary install Fuji program to copy pictures from Finepix S1500 to computer? With other cameras I do it with SO features (Windows).

If you have a USB cable for your camera, then no. Plug the USB into the camera, then into the computer and then turn the camera on. The computer should recognize the camera and ask how you want to download the pictures. You can use the Windows download wizard.

That's how I do it on my FinePix.

Another alternative is if you have a card reader in your computer, just take the SD card out of your camera and insert it into the card reader. again you will get a window with options.

Thanks for using Fixya.

I have a D5000 Nikon and a Panasonic SD/HC 4GB card. I have formatted the card and taken a number of pictures. I have loaded the necessary soft ware supplied with new camera but cannot download any...

If you are using a card reader of some sort (other than using the camera to download the images), it may not be SDHC compliant. Have you tried using the camera to download the images via the supplied cable? If you've taken the images in RAW format, that could also be the problem. Try using a 2gb or smaller card in the camera to take some images and then download them using your usual method. If it works with the 2gb card but not with the 4gb, it's likely your reader isn't SDHC compliant.

Cant save pictures or videos to desktop

If you can, the easiest way would be to plug in your camera using a USB cable and transfer pictures.

If your camera came with software or drivers for transferring/ storing picutres to your PC - These will be in the box, if not you can download the necessary drivers from the Internet.

Transferring photos from digital to photo frame- How to? Please

If you need to transfer to your computer just connect the USB cable from the camera to the computer, switch the camera on, turn the dial to View and Voila! A connect icon appears on the camera screen. Follow instructions on screen to download photos; develop if necessary. Presumably you will then be able to download the jpegs to your photo frame from your computer.

Failure to acquire pictures

1. Always use an AC adapter when downloading directly to a computer. 2. Check with the camera manufacturer (try its Web site) to make sure you have the latest version of the necessary software drivers. 3. If your camera connects via a serial (COM) port, check for serial-port conflicts. 4. If you're using a FireWire cable to connect to the computer, turn the computer on, turn the camera on and then connect the cable between the two. Don't turn off the camera while the cable is still attached.
