Question about Polaroid FLM-2632 Television

Polaroid FLU-2632 channel searching

Hi,
TV works perfectly on Sky, but have encountered problems with the auto channel search. Started auto search from the menu, it seached perfectly finding a number of channels then went to 'list of receivable channels' then the screen 'locked up'. Only remedy was to unpower the tv. Now the auto seach can take a couple of hours to search through just one Mhz. Tried on manual search at different Mhz but same problem. Aerial signal has been proved on another tv. Any ideas please?

Often when using a Sky box, one doesn't use the channel tuning feature of the Polaroid HDTV. Often one connects the Sky box to a component video input, and the Sky box does the tuning.

I hope that helps.

do you mean if you hooked up the tv with the aerial antenna can not get any channel? ok if just a white raster only and doesn't scan or tuned even manually and auto search, the cause is bad tuner.

I have removed all cable boxes from my home. I cannot get the tv remote to change channels. I was told by the cable tech that I needed to do a channel search. How do I do that?

Which specific model do you have? The menus may depend on your model. Are you using the original TV remote or a different remote? If you do not have the TV remote, try the buttons on the TV. Use the channel up/down buttons to navigate through the menu items and the volume up button to enter a sub-menu.

Try Menu and locate the Channel sub-menu. Then make sure that the antenna Air/Cable item is set correctly. Then the Channel Search option is on the next line. This is the method for the LCD2050. For the TTM2901L, you need the same Channel sub-menu but the channel search is called "Auto Program".

A number of other manuals for Polaroid TVs are available here: http://www.polaroid-tv.com/polaroid-lcd-tv/manual/ .

I hope this helps. If you add a comment with your model number, I'll be glad to provide additional help. (Note: without the model, I can't be sure which tuners (NTSC - analog OTA or cable, ATSC - digital OTA, or QAM - digital cable) are in your TV. This may change whether you can receive any stations without the cable boxes.)

The tv was turned off with the remote 'set' button. Now, none of the power buttons including the one on the tv itself work to turn the tv on. Perplexed.

Hi I purchased a Sony 60 inch T.V model KDL60EX703U. It is supposed to have built in free view. I have set it up the same as my previous t.v however when searching for channels it does not find any. ...

When you are searching for channels check what setting the channel search is in this model had DVB-T DVB-C and DVB-T2, If it is in the wrong search mode it will not find the channels. Also does your sky decoder use a dish? if yes then this could also be the issue as the TV uses Terrestrial signals and the SKY decoder will use a Satellite System.

I had the same problem. It's caused by the picture setting on your Sky box. Go ibto Services, select Picture Settings and set the mode to PAL not RGB.
