The backlight of your tv is about to be busted and must be replace but before replacing check first the ballast inverter board of the backlight lamp.you need to open the back cover of your tv to access the inverter board.in many cases a loose connection in the supply of the inverter board causes the problem that you've mention re soldering the connector of the inverter board from the power supply will cure the problem.next is the inverter board itself and the lamp you can replace them and they are available online at shop jimmy.com heres a link to the online store thans and pls rate my help

HI:
Have the power supply and the inverters checked for swollen capacitors, this is the most common problem with no backlighting. Look for caps where the tops of them are puffy or swollen they all should be flat on their tops.

Capacitors look like some what like Batteries standing horizonaly on the boards, they are usually black in color or brown. With power off rub your finger gently across the tops of them especially the ones near the output connector leading to the main board. They should be flat on their tops, if you feel a bump or puffy top these will need to be replaced. Also there are inverter boards inside the unit also there are usually two caps on these boards you should check also for puffy tops. Replace any caps you find with the same value that is printed on their sides. Rem that caps are polarized with Pos and Neg leads so inserting any new ones will have to go back in the right way, usually there is marking on the board to indicate where the negitive side of the cap is , on the cap itself the stripe side is NEG or ground.

SOURCE: have a bush 32 in flatscreen tv i have sound but

It is most likely a faulty capacitor on the convergance or other system board that will need to be found with capacitor tester. It will need to be replaced.

Sounds that the fault is not with any loose solder point; but the back light inverter or the main power supply regulator board. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
