Easy way is to start a new one! BUT, it sounds like you've tried everything except contacting yahoo. I have and they do respond with help. If what they send isn't what you needed, rephrase question and resend it to them. I didn't think the response would be very good or quick but it was.

Sony pcg-7a2l, vgn-fs620/w no power on Mother board or power inverter?

If you aren't getting any response from your laptop then it may mean a component within the laptop has become faulty. It could be the CPU or mainboard. I suggest taking it in to your neares PC store and have a technition first handedly diagnose and single out the malfunctioning parts.

I just purchased a new battery for my Dell Inspiron 1501 laptop and a new power adapter and the battery is still not charging. What could be wrong?

It sounds like the power section of the motherboard is dead. There's a section of your motherboard (where the power adapter plugs in) that is responsible for accepting the incoming DC voltage, partially regulating it, and then sending onto the battery and/or the motherboard for distribution among the components. This power section is the bridge between the power adapter and the battery. If this power section is damaged, the battery won't charge, the laptop may or may not power up, and you'll have irregular power problems... like you described.

I cannot get any response from my toshiba satellite p305d-s8828. I have plugged it in - nothing. No lights at all when pushing the start button. Help, please.

There could be a problem with the battery. A fast check to determine whether you have a problem with the power adapter, power cord or the laptop's battery is to turn off the laptop, remove the battery, connect the power adapter, turn on the laptop & see if it works.
If the laptop works directly from the power adapter with the battery removed, then the power adapter is good. In this case we can suspect that the battery is defective & needs to be replaced.

If this did not work, try also disassembling the laptop & make sure that all main components are seated properly. Also make sure that all ribbon cables interconnecting the various components of the laptop are tightly connected.

If its not doing anything at all ,your power board may be bad as well as your ac adapter maybe faulty. Also the power jack where the adapter plugs in may need resoldering or replaced.

Laptop using Windows XP temporally freezes only in yahoo and internet explorer

It could be very well be a virus. I would get a more well-known anti-virus software than Spyware Doctor. Typically with free versions or the cheaper ones, they don't protect nearly as well as the more expensive ones. Norton is one I recommend constantly. I love it and it protects against everything pretty much. McAfee is a really good one to.

Another wet laptop...

Before spending the $$ to replace the motherboard check the plug in parts on the mb. See if any liquid got into any of the plug assemblies. If they are all dry then the mb is the most likely culprit. Sorry about your laptop.

Please try to remove the battery and than try to switch on the laptop directly from mains power and if it works than its your battery problem or if it still not starts than there is possibility of some components of your laptop may fired due power fluctuation. So go and contact service station.

Mecer notebook n755ia problem

Try this solution....

  1. Clean your memory then try it again
  2. if same response, then dismantle your laptop then try reinserting video card (if it is a modular type component, your laptop is made by uniwill but i couldnt find the spec)
  3. if same response, then you remove the CPU clean the socket with a contact cleaner and plug the cpu once again and then see if it boots up. Or if you have spare cpu where you can borrow and try it with your system
  4. if non of these work, you are faced with a board problem and you need a qualified technician to help you with this already
