Hi,

Have you tried Toshiba Phils? Perhaps tehy can help, here are their contact details should you need it.

Alternately, if you are anywhere near Gonzalo Puyat (formerly Raon) you can try bringing the AC adapter and try fitting replacement power cord readily available on most stores. Additionally, most electronics part stores carry generic/replacement power cords and one should fit.

There are some versions that uses the same power cord as that of a desktop PC.

If you need the entire power adapter with cord, pls try here or here. Incidentally, any power adapter rated at 12VDC output @ 4amps should also work, you just have to make sure the polarity of the crown plug matches the Toshiba.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

I doubt it has a digital tuner but the owner manual should show that or Google the model number.

My daughter put the blue ray DVD into the Toshiba 14DLV75 instead of the regular DVD and now it won't eject it. It just keeps spinning like it wants to eject, but won't. How can I get it out?

Hello
Just switch OFF the set by its front panel power control switch, and then switch it On and press the eject button without any delay. Sometimes the tray will eject, and try to close. If so switch OFF the front panel power switch, while it is out, and take away the blu-ray disc. the switch it On. All will be ok then.

Screen is going black, can barely see image, sound is good

Heat is the number one enemy of electronics, and these sets operate hot. You might wish to unplug the TV for an hour or more. If this power reset does not allow the TV to turn on component failure is indicated. These sets are assembled using the wave soldering process they are known for having cold solder connections. This model of TV has over 3,000 parts which include millions of transistors inside the integrated circuits. The capacitors will change value, leak and become defective. Resistors will change value and burn. Integrated circuits and transistors can go bad. This can cause other components to become defective, which can have a domino effect and cause other parts to fail. Replacing one defective part may make the TV operate for a short time but the part will fail again since if the parts that caused the failure to begin with are not replaced. The only way to know for sure what is causing the problem, which parts that are no longer within factory specs and for proper repair all the electronics must be diagnosed by someone with the correct electronic test equipment and the skills to use the test equipment. I wish I could tell you there was a quick fix or button to push that would fix the TV but that is not the case or the solution needed to get the TV operating correctly. The TV is definitely repairable. I see no reason to replace the TV.

hope it helps-

Dvd stuck

Hi,
Open up a paper clip until as straight as possible,
On the drive for the dvd you will see a very small hole,
With the power off, Insert the paperclip in the hole GENTLY push when you feel a resistance, and the drive will open slightly, pull gently open and remove dvd,
Happy new Year

Code for Direct TV remote control

Program AV1 with 20695, program TV with 10765, then switch to AV1, press select/mute, enter 933, and press select

This will allow volume and mute controls while in DTV mode and allow power on and off while in TV mode. This worked for me on the RC32 remote control.

Best of luck
