Permanent white arrow cursor

After using bluetooth the otherday I now have a white arrow cursor stuck in the centre of my screen. Soft reboot does not remove it. I'm sure I've heard of this problem before but cannot remember how to rectify. Any ideas?

How to Reboot a Blackberry Without Removing the Battery?

If you remove batteries and hardware while tinkering with electronic devices, you might run into trouble down the line. Blackberry devices must be rebooted time and again, but you can reboot your Blackberry without removing the battery.
Instructions
1. When you install a new program or have a system failure, you must reboot the Blackberry. This is the same concept used in larger desktop or laptop computers. 2. Hold off on using the new program by selecting "Later" instead of "Now" when you are prompted by the Blackberry. This will allow you to wait awhile to reboot your device, especially if you need to use it at the moment and can put off the new program installation. 3. Initiate what is known as a soft reboot by pressing and holding down the key combination of Alt+Cap+Backspace on the Blackberry keyboard. Using this method will also work when the device stalls and you see only the white arrow, but it refuses to move. 4. Note that certain Blackberry models are different and require you to press and hold the Alt+Cap+Delete key combination to reboot the Blackberry without removing the battery. Make sure your keypad is correct for using this method of soft reboot before attempting it. Blackberry makes several different models, and they all operate differently under soft-reboot conditions. 5. Reference your Blackberry manual. Make sure that the keypad soft reboot will work with the specific model you are using. Larger models are typically more prone to working with the aforementioned soft reboot. If this does not work, you will have to use a secondary method. 6. Check to see if you need to install an application for your phone that allows for a soft reboot. Many models, like the Pearl, allow you to download an application for soft reboot. These applications may prevent you from pulling the battery to reboot. 7. Try all the available methods, and if it still does not work, request assistance from your Blackberry dealer. She may know of an alternative or a firmware update for your device.
Cursor freezes or is erratic

Ow, I have had this problem myself. Do you have an iPhone or other Apple device that you've connected lately?
I am assuming your mouse is either Bluetooth or uses a proprietary 'dobgle'...Which?

Erratic cursor ms media centre wireless keyboard

What platform? Memory (needed for this sort of task)? WiFi gateway? Model?
Importantly, have you attached any Apple devices to your system recently?
If the connection is Bluetooth (to TV), well, there's not much help for it. You need a lot of CPU and Memory for smooth flow and device functionality.

Help.. my acer aspire computer screen has turned vertical on my notebook and the cursor isn't working.. what do I do?

Well, to get the screen back to normal, press Ctrl + Alt + Up Arrow. As for the cursor, try rebooting the computer after changing the screen back to normal. If that doesn't work, try another external mouse to get to the mouse settings from the control panel and see if anything has changed.
I hope this helps! Thank you for using FixYa!

Windows is not loading have black screen with white cursor then goes to acer and fast out again to white cursor

Hello, doing a "last known good configuration" Works most of the time. Here is how to do it:

1. Make sure your computer is powered down.

2. Turn your computer on and immediately start pressing F8 on your keyboard repeatedly until you see a black screen with white writing that gives you a list of boot options.

3. Use the down arrow on your keyboard to select the Last Known Good Configuration (Advanced) option.

4. Press Enter on your keyboard and cross your fingers.

Good Luck!

No toolbar/ deskbar

you probably moved it by accident try moving your mouse cursor near the bottom or sides of the screen, when the cursor almost dissapears, it should change from a single white arrow to a double (up/down) arrow. click left and drag up, normally you bar should reappear.

Cursor stuck in middle of screen

If you are using an external mouse, unplug it and see if it will go with the pad.If it works with the pad then its the exteranal mouse.
If you are using the pad you may have to replace the pad or recalibrate it using the pointer device, you can use the tab key to go through to the start menu then use the arrow keys to go to control panel.
Hope this helps
