You can install a wireless card internally in an available PCI slot, or externally using a USB port, your choice. Just make sure that the USB adapter type matches the router type

Any internal lan card should fit assuming you have a spare pci expansion slot available. If not, you can get a usb lan adaptor from dlink.

If you're not sure how to fit the internal card, take your pc to your local friendly pc shop, it should only take a couple of minutes to fit.

Dell Dimension 5100 won't start with new FireMV 2400 PCI Express video card

Did you check to make sure the video card is installed in the right spot? Has the onboard video card been disabled in Windows - and when you say it will not boot, do you mean physically no POST. Do you get any error codes? If you can get into the CMOS (Bios) Setup screen - change the primary display adapter from the onboard to AGP, PCI, or PCI-E depending on which card that is. Use this information at your own risk - hope it helps.

you need to get a PCI Wireless card or a USB Wireless adapter, if you are talking about an 802.11 wireless router.

If you are talking about Sprint wireless Broadband or the link (WWAN service) you'll need a USB WWAN adapter which are available by all major Wireless vendors (Verizon, Sprint, ATT etc(

I'm not sure where the floppy drive comes in, but if you have usb connectors on your mobo then you can connect the 5 pin connector to half of the usb pins.  Try that and see what happens.

Motherboard

All of the internal card readers I've seen either: -have built-in media converters which in turn plug into standard connections (USB, Firewire, ect.). -have their own PCI card with an appropriate connector for your card reader. That card plugs into your motherboard. Is it possible you card reader is missing something or perhaps was designed for some other motherboard?
