How to change the blade on a fatmax mitre saw fe721

You have to loosen, NOT remove, two bolts on the blade cover so it rotates just enough to give you access to the spindle bolt holding the blade on. Check this web page for the user manual. You'll need the pictures on page 5 and the description on page 14 of this manual.

How to prep and change a blade for gas concrete saw

With the bolt and first washer removed, there will be an inner washer and an arbor to centralise the blade, 14" mahines will normally have a 25.4mm arbor ( 1" ) make sure the blade you intend to fit has the same centre hole as the arbor, fit the bade onto the arbor, if there is a direction arrow fit the correct way, refit the outer washer and tighten the bolt.

Does the bolt turn R or L also does it take a special tool. I have had this saw for 28 years and my guys changed the blades I fear they lost the tool. Also will a 10" blde work it has a 71/4 now

The bolt on your saw blade turns right. Hold a block of wood against the blade so the bolt can turn. You can use a adjustable wrench if it will fit. Otherwise see if an open end wrench will fit. The 10" blade will only work if the saw was designed for a 10" blade and there is enough clearance.

Change blade

all chain saws have a sprocket that the chain runs on this sprocket is what make the chain rotate on the bar. the bar is the long part that sticks out in front of the motor. you must remove the side cover of the saw to access the sprocket region of the saw. be sure the saw is unplugged and then remove side cover the bar is usually held in place by a couple of bolts. on gas saws these two bolts also hold the side cover in place and must be removed to replace the bar and chain. once you have removed the side cover look for bolts holding the bar in place. if you only want to change the chain then you may be able to only loosen the bolts or screws holding the bar in place.there should be a screw to adjust the bar forwards and backwards. this screw put tension on the chain so when you put a new chain on turning the screw will proberly tension the chain /do not overtighten the chain.
also be sure you put the new chain and blade on the same as the old one that comes off trying to cut with a chain that is on backward does not work. last note if you are replacing the blade because the old one is dull take the saw to a saw shop they can sharpen the exsisting chain and save you money.

I cant tighten the blade on to the arbor arbor is spinning

If your saw is not equipped with an arbor lock, there are several methods of holding the blade while you tighten or loosen the bolt. First, hand tighten the nut to get it snug. Then you can either wedge a Phillips screwdriver shaft between a blade tooth and the base, or you can use a pair of pliers to squeeze the blade and hold it in place against the base. Be careful not to nick the tips of the blade and be cautious with your hands. Obviously you want to make sure you are spinning the bolt the right way, too. You don't need to really crank bolt down, just firmly tighten it and leave it be.

How to replace primer bulb on small echo gas chain saw.

I just replaced the primer bulb on my Echo cs-305.
I didn't find the parts list too helpful.

It's easy. All you have to do is remove the air filter and look at the existing bulb from the bottom-- you can reach in with a screwdriver and pop the 'feet' holding it in place off their catches. When I put the new one in, I attached the tubes using a pair of needlenose pliers.

Blade change skilsaw 5150

The locking button on this saw is designed for safety. If you are attempting to change the blade it should NOT be plugged in. It sounds as if someone has pushed the lock button while the motor was running and sheared it off.
The only tool that is required to change the blade is the supplied wrench or an equivalent box end. If you cannot make the repair yourself for have the equipment repaired you can take a pair of vise grips. (Use cardboard to prevent warping or gouging the blade) and clamp the edge of the blade below the teeth. The vise grips will stop at the front of the saw as it is too large to pass by the guard allowing you to loosen the nut. Clamp the new blade in the same way only the back of the saw will be used to tighten.

I highly recommend that you either repair yourself or have the tool repaired by a professional.

Parts schematics are all over the net for this tool, here is an example:

As you can see most of the mechanical parts are only a few dollars and it could save you from serious injury during operation.
