Hi,have you bought your mobile for contract in UK? did you tried to insert SIM that belonga to Pakistan and did you got any of the message like "Enter Restriction Code" or "Enter Unlock Code"? if so it means that your mobile is locked to UK network (from which you got your mobile)....to get rid of the problem you have to unlock your mobile..you can unlock your mobile by unlock code..you can try unlock codes
either from your provider or can get it from online providers..once i
got unlock code for my mobile from theunlockspot and unlocked my
mobile..you can too try getting codes for your mobile..but before that
check whether unlock codes are available for your country and provider..
I have heard that some of the Nokias are well locked. I would approach this with one of the sim card based unlockers from dealextreme. This sits on top of any new sim card you wish to use, allowing it to bypass the phone network lock. I've not tried it but they're cheap enough to give a go.
Your phone is equipped with one or more codes to protect it against
unauthorized use. Please note that the security code, which protects
the phone itself, differs from the PIN code, which protects the SIM
If your phone is prompting you for a security code and you have not activated one, please try the following
Enter the default security code: 12345. Only try this once.
If your phone still requests a security code, please bring it to the nearest Nokia Care point for inspection.
