Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. No Heat issue in dryer is usually caused due to three things mainly: Thermal Fuse, Wiring Harness and/or Heating Element. Start with checking the Thermal Fuse which is mounted inside the back cover panel to the exhaust duct and is mounted in white plastic housing. If that’s fine then the Heating Element should be checked. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

Bosch dryer will not heat

If you have a Tumble Dryer that is not heating up but the drum is turning ok, then the chances are the thermal overload cutout has tripped. Bosch dryers have a reset button but you will have to remove the heater cover panel to access it, you will find it just above the heating element (a black stat with small red button) simply press the red button and if it clicks you've fixed it.
It also may be:
If the dryer doesn't heat, but the drum turns, check the thermal fuse(s). The thermal fuse protects the dryer from overheating and helps to prevent fires. If the thermal fuse is blown, it will have to be replaced

Dryer runs, but does not heat, it is electric.

Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

The most likely problem based on your description "Dryer runs, but does not heat, it is electric" is the hi-limit safety thermostat is tripped.

To save time and back and forth dialog, I`ll just lay out what to do about it.

**Unplug the dryer before attempting any repair tips suggested here please...safety first**

If you`ve already taken the back of the dryer off to gain access you should have no problem, other wise it is a bit of a challenge.

If you want to post an email address I can attach a short "wmv" file that will show "how to", it's your call.

There is good news though once you reach the hi-limit, the hi-limit cut out can be "reset" with the push of a button, you can see through the back vent opening when the vent is removed and then by pushing the red button in...shown below, but it will require the removal of the rear panel the very first time, so let me know if you require further assistance to do this.

i.e.

When you see this thermostat on the side of the heating element housing, push it in and it should "click" and you'll be back in business...once you reassemble the unit of course.

Careful not to move the drum too much as that will likely trip the emergency shout off switch on the motor bracket assembly.

Keep me posted how you make out or if anything is not clear.

Thanks for choosing FixYa and good luck.

Asko stackable dryer/Bosch stackable washer compatability

If you arer going to replace the washer with a Bosch Axxis model, it will simply plug into the back of the dryer (if it is electric) because normally the dryers are 220 VAC. Works A-OK.

Bosch nexxt 500 series dryer

I just had the same problem, motor runs but no heat. I had a fun time figuring out how take the front panel off, hint the rubber seal comes off easily. It looks like mine tripped the resettable over heat sensor. So far so good.
