SOURCE: we have a hunter type 2 ceiling fan installed on a bedroom ceilin

Okay. Turn off circuit breaker. Take the bottom off the fan. Mark how the wires are connected. Remove switch by unscrewing the sleeve you mentioned. Take the switch to Home Depot (or the like) -- buy a replacement.

If you have to turn the breaker back on during this process, make sure you have a wire nut over the end of each of the loose wires you disconnected from the switch.

After you take the switch out, you'll know how to reinstall it, so I won't go thru that.

My hunter ceiling fan remote batteries went dead. I replaced them and the light went out now i can turn the fan on but not the lights

Here's what you do. I just fixed mine. I had the same issue. Over time the rubber on the buttons will wear down and block the contacts. Take the remote apart. There should be two screws, take them out, the back should come off. you will see the electric board, one screw you take off. Flip it over and you will see the contacts on the back of the board. If there is a build up of rubber all you do is take a pencil eraser and lightly rub the contacts. This will clean them and then you should have no other problems. Hope this helps..

We got 4 HUNTER ceilin fans in one room. Model 27185-060 with remote FCC ID:IN2TX11 Two of them are runing clocwise another two in opsite side Wat can we do to run all in one direction?

Your Hunter ceiling fan is equipped with a small switch that changes the spin of the blades from clockwise to counter-clockwise. Regardless of the make or model of your ceiling fan, this switch is typically located on the center motor housing where the fan blades are attached. good-day!

Need to oil Hunter Ceiling fan, Tyep G model 25539. Cannot find the place to insert oil. THANKS!!

There are only two places to lubricate a ceiling fan, the top and bottom of the armature that goes through the center of the motor. The blades in turn hook to this and rotate with it. The top of the armature, closest to the ceiling, is probably a little difficult to get at. The bottom of the armature is probably easier to get at. To do a complete job of lubricating both ends, the fan must be taken apart and cleaned of old lubricant which is then replaced with new. However, I have found that using a can of WD40 with the red extension nozzle is the best way to do it without taking the fan apart. Spray some WD40 at the lowest part of the armature supported by the motor housing. WD40 is better than oil because it penetrates better and it is less likely to cause a build up of dust and dirt that would cling to the oil.

Have you tried to replace the batteries in the remote? Have you tried to clean the IR sensors with rubbing alcohol and a cottons swab or windex?

Fan blades rub on housing

The fan is not level.
You will have to relevel the fan. One "trick" we use until a fan can be releveled is to stick a wieght on the top side of the blade. You will have to find which blade will weight back to level. Usually the one on the oposite side of the one that rubs. Tape some quarters or fishing weights on the top side and keep adding until it quits.
Once you get a chance to relevel it get yourself a foot long level and loosen the connections and redo the mountings.
