If the computer doesn't turn on at all, it may be a power issue. Does it do the same thing whether you're connected to AC power or not? You may have a bad AC adapter, or the port may be loose so its not making a good connection.

My dell latitude d610 ac power is work is properly but battrey is not charging plz tell me soulition.

If the D610 works when attached to the AC Power Cord, it is likely that your battery is not capable of taking a charge and needs to be replaced. I have 2 D610 Dell Latitudes and they are very good laptops.
Please vote if my information is helpful or not. Recommend me. Thanks UAW 974

''PRESS FN + X TO RETURN THE SYSTEM TO NORMAL MODE'. This does not appear to work, it then shows hit F1 for shutdown, nothing happening with that operation either.

Hook-up from d610 to tv

It is possible that your laptop drives EITHER its own display OR an extrnal monitor such as your TV. Look for a Screen Swap key on the laptop keyboard. It is usually a "Fn" key and requires you to hold down the "Fn" (Function) key whilst you tap the screen swap key. This key usually has a small picture of two screens seperated by a / . Hope this helps. Ian.

Have a dell d610. its not picking up the wireless modem in house. worked yesterday. prompting me for wireless switch. and the light/activity/wi-fi light is not on. is there a switch or function key i need...

Your Dell has the ability to turn the wifi on and off using the Fn key (lower left on your keyboard) and (If I remember correctly) the F2 key--anyway, it's the function key that has a little picture of a "radio antenna" on it. Hold down the Fn key and then press that other key. The wireless network should then be active.

Dell latitude D610 and 1901 FP monitor

Did you hold down the Fn key and press the function key for the external VGA port? It should cycle as LCD only, LCD and VGA, VGA only and then back to LCD.
