This is not an uncommon problem with all in ones it usually stems from an incomplete installs due to anti virus and firewall software. do this. completely uninstall the printer and its software. if your installing from a disk, disconnect from the web, disable your anti virus and your firewall then run your fresh install. This i think will solve your problem. if you download drivers from the web save them to your desk top. disable firewall and antivirus and run the install from the desk top

Kill the job on computer that sent the print job. If the job fails to clear you can stop and start the print spooler

Right click My Computer > Manage > Services.
Right click Print Spooler > Stop then Start. That should clear the job.

Same principle pertains to a network printer, but needs to be done print server.

Hello guys, i´ll be very

Issue Print jobs are stuck in the print queue (spooler) on a computer running Microsoft Windows connected to the print server. Nothing prints, and the print job in the printer's queue shows a status of Printing . These print jobs cannot be deleted even on the server, and it will not disappear or print until the Print Spooler service is restarted. Solution For Microsoft Windows Server 2003 and Microsoft Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, a fix is available in Microsoft Knowledge Base Article, The Print Spooler service may stop sending print jobs to a printer that uses the standard port monitor on a Windows Server 2003-based computer . Click here to view Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 934885 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/934885) . To prevent this issue from occurring, disable the bidirectional printing support for each HP printer driver installed. To do this, perform the following steps:
  1. Click Start , point to Settings , click Printers , right-click the icon representing the printer to be modified, and then click Properties .
  2. Click Ports , click to clear the Enable Bidirectional Support check box, and then click OK .
NOTE: Sharing a printer over a network is a feature of Microsoft Windows and not HP printer specific.

We have urgently to stop the packages send to jetdirekt_500x. pleae hlep

Do you mean "packets"? Not to be a smart-***, but you can unplug the network cable, then wait for the printing device (you computer) to error out, and then cancel the print job. Then plug the print server back in.

Failed response from plugin device

Dirty fix...
When the printer errors out...stop, unplug the power to the printserver. Reset the printer, Clear the print que (delete jobs/restart print spooling service), restart the printserver software and plug the printserver power back in. Wait for the re-detect. Everthing should be good at this point. Unfortunatly the print job will be lost and you need to print again...BUT, NO REBOOT yea!!!
Note... for me, if this sequence is not followed, I will have to reboot. The printserver will be locked for the PC that was trying to print. All other PC's will be fine, and I have no idea why.
Good luck,
Bill

9403 monarch printer/hooked to lantronix print server

If the printer doesn't react when you send a print job to it (either prints, or displays an error code on the display) and just sits there doing nothing, it generally means the print job didn't get to the printer. Check your communication settings. The printer comm settings must match the settings in your software. The default comm settings on the printer are:
Baud : 9600
word length: 8
stop bits: 1
parity: none
flow control: dtr

Canon imagerunner c3200 stuck in processing data

If you don't print via a server, you can turn the iRC3200 off...then back on and that will clear the print jobs.
If after doing this it STILL has a traffic jam in the print que when trying to print the same document then stop sending THAT particular document as the document has a formatting issue and NOT the printer.
If you DO use a print server then you(or your I.T Professional) need to go to the server and clear the print jobs from the server.

You need to delete doc from print server and from the print que.in the printer driver, then turn on printer and cancel job.
