Sir i have intel 965ry mother board i want to connect 3 250gb sata hdd s but the system as slowly why

dear friend
Because it must recognise the three hard disk of 250GB, and memory is not frequent to working with large amount hard disk.
It is better to work with only one hard disk of 250GB. According to mother board requirement it supports up to 500Gb Hard disk but single hard disk of 500GB.

I have asrock 845 mother board this board is not support my ext. hard drive .so plz give me solution.

1. If your system running Windows in SATA HDD, this will not support SATA External HDD
2. Better you try low capacity HDD such as 80GB, this will support and work with your system

thanks

I had the similar problem with the K8MM-V Motherboard. I has been using a PATA HDD. I need to intall a 250Gig Seagate SATA HDD. Despit all the Bios Configs the PC Could not detec the HDD. Untill i Put a Jumper on the HDD  limiting the SATA HDD to 1.5gig of OS instead of 3gig. Look at the Label of your HDD

Try:

Have you got a decent spinup?

Are the rest of the drives working properly, if they are not it may suggest faulty PSU.

Try connecting to a diffrent pc, or purchase a USB sata convertor

250gb sata hard disk to 845 glad mother board

Hello all. I have the same issue. My MB is 845G [P4 2.4 Ghz] and SATA harddisk I need to install is Seagate 250 GB Baracuda with 3.0Gb/s interface, I belive which makes this HD as SATA II. So for this motherboard should I prefer PCI cards which support SATA II over the supports SATA I [these are cheaper].

Thanks so mcuh!!!
