Question about Cameras
Error U10 indicates the Dew Sensor has detected condensation.
If the eclipse shape you are talking about looks like a teardrop, then it is saying that dew condensation has occurred inside your camcorder. You need to remove the tape from the cam and open the cassette compartment for 2 to 3 hours or until the condensation is gone. It would help if you store it in a room that has warm temperature.

This sounds like a condensation symbol. Couldn't find anything about the U10 error (consult your manual), but I did run across an interesting web blog where people reported a simple fix. Here it is:
Maybe a good thump is all it takes, hope so.
