Question about Koutech Systems PC720 (IO-PC720) (IOPC720) Serial Adapter
Copier is Canon PC 720 Copier turns on, but makes a grinding sound. Nothing else works: Print button, number of copies button, zoom, magnify or minimize size, dark/light control. Error message of E2 flashes. There is no paper jam. We have checked the belts, We have unplugged it and replugged it in. No change. It printed one copy that was very blurred before it quit. It made the same sound it is still making now. We let it sit a few days. We tried it again, and it successfully printed one copy, so we thought it was fine, and ran 10 copies of same item. When we put the next item in to copy, it turned on and then nothing else worked, as explained above.
You said you unplugged your copier, did you unplug it for 10 to 15 minutes before plugging it back in, plug it into a differed
outlet that you know works and plug it directly into a wall outlet instead of a power strip. Check to see if your copier reaches stand-by mode then make a test sheet.
If this does not work then you have probably have an internal processing component which requires attention.
