Question about Nikon Coolpix 4300 Digital Camera
Unfortunately, The Nikon Coolpix 4300 only supports the FAT16 file system, which can handle up to only 2GB; hence it has no support for any card with a capacity larger than 2GB!
You can try using your new card by attaching it to a computer (using a CF card reader) and create 2 partitions of 2GB into it. It's a nasty way, in my opinion... I'd recommend you buying a 2GB card and trying to sell/return the 4GB card you've already bought.
Hope this information helps you!

Have you tried setting the camera into factory default?

After you format it, put it in your computer. Go to my computer, find the card, make sure it has the file DCIM on it. If not, create a folder and name it that. Than try it in your camera.
