Check if Video driver properly installed and have no problem.. if installed then remove and re-install... there may be read problem with the dvd drive so use a lens cleaner to clean it... hope it'll work..

Asus p5s800-vm MB has complete power lets monitor know

Disconnect the hard drives, cd/dvd drives and any expansion boards you have plugged into the mainboard. We want to remove as much as possible to see if we can eliminate the problem.Using the onboard video, start it up again, and see if it comes up. If it does, then its one of the items you disconnected. Power down and reattach one of the disconnected items and power up again. Did it come up? Keep in mind that we want to see the bios start up screen. Once you have attached all the items you will have found the bad component. Replace it. But lets say you didn't get a good system when you disconnected everything. Well, that narrows down the suspected bad items to: the mainboard, the power supply, the memory, or the cpu. The power supply has many voltages coming out of it, keep in mind that the drives, cd/dvd rom drives and fans use 12 volts for spin up. There are 3 other voltages used by the mainboard. I would replace the power supply next with a known good one. Then it gets a little costlier, the memory, then the cpu and then the mainboard. Stick with it. You'll find out which it is. Good Luck.

Hiya, please could you help me, A couple of days ago i installed a graphics card on my pc. Everything was working properly, when this morning i was playing half life and the monitor went to sleep. The...

Alright, first, does it meet the specifications of the game. required memory and what not.

Also, can your power supply meet you requirments.
( try unplugging the extra hard drive and the CD rom and then booting the system.)

Also, it may have overheated if you are playing games and the P.C. isnt well vetilated. This mayhave caused the processor to fail or to burn out the power supply.

Was there any beeps or alert sounds made before or after it crashed?

Are the memory sticks ( RAM ) the same speed. Are they both DDR 400?

If not, then that would be my best bet, Try removeing one of the memory sticks and then booting, then swap and try the other one. this way you can test to see if one of them is bad.

Most computer tech stores have a power supply tester for around $13.

Buy one, it will save you in time and money trying to guess.

Use it to test the power supply. If its not strong enough to power your system, it will have red light or some way of telling you.

I have built several gaming computers and if I had your problem, the first thing I would try is to add a stick of memory. Then I would get me a graphics card with some memory built on the board (256 meg). You motherboard should run a pci graphics card with no problem.
