Water damage

My brother let the water bil over onto the stove and the water got underneath the stove under the plates which caused it to trip off, then I saw droplets when cleaning so decided to lift the hob, but when i did quite a bit of wayter fell out from the hob onto the oven, now the stove wont switch on at all. will it work again?
