I dropped my ND767A microphone pretty ******* cement... And it does not work now... the cables at the bottom are are perfectly fine.. How much would it cost to fix it? is it worth fixing? thanks!!!!

well most of the expense is in the body of your mike, i could suggest finding a replacement microphone element form a electronic pars suppler if that's the fault, in other words start using the phone an do some research, otherwise it should not cost you more than about 80 dollars max to have your mike serviced by a service center.

Hi my DS Lite microphone just stopped working so i had it replaced but still it wont respond i tried the game in another DS and it worked fine .. I also adjusted games sensitivity but still nothing ........

Hi there, the DS microphone is actually linked to the socket that is at the front of the console. Although you may have replaced the actual micrphone and wire (which was the one that came from the top part of the console and plugged onto the motherboard) it still wont fix the problem. You have to actually have to have the microphone socket replaced. They are available off of ebay for around £5 but they are not easy to fit. Ideally you need to find someone who is able to hot air solder as this is not simply something that can be unsoldered with a soldering iron. You could pay someone to do it, for example a proper console repair person but they will probably charge around £50 to do it. If you know someone who is a dab hand at electronics you could ask them if they would be able to do it. Unsoldering the socket is the more difficult part but soldering it back on is pretty easy.

This is the thing you need, I have personally fitted lots of these and it has worked every time -

My Nintendo DS microphone broke for no reason and my sister's also broke for no reason...What should I do?

Go thru these steps to see if its a configuration issue with the DS:

Restart your Nintendo DS. Sometimes a quick restart will fix your microphone problem. Do this on both systems. All the steps that I mention, do them on both systems.

Check whether your microphone volume is up. Access this feature through the DS menu. If the microphone’s volume is down, it will not receive any sound.

Make sure the volume on your Nintendo DS is up. If your speakers are off, you won't hear whether your microphone works.

If these steps do not correct the problem, then systems will need to be serviced cause the main board would be bad at that point.

Unable to get past the isle of ember. At the temple of fire, how do you Blow out the flames to ilimintate the path ahead. Cant get past this.

You need to blow into the microphone. There are many places in the game where you need to blow into the microphone or yell something into it.

Ds lite microphone not working. help!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, The Ds microphone is relatively straight forward to replace and can be bought on eBay etc if you wished to fix it yourself. Alternatively if you contact a local DS retailer they will be able to put you in contact with nintendo who will fix it for a fee.

I don't know of anyway to bypass the activities in any games reliant on the microphone.

Microphone problem

The nintendo consoles including the Ds all use a tri wing screwdriver. This can be purchased from www.consoleparts4u.co.uk or you could make your own like I did by grinding 3 points off a hex screwdriver.
Once you have got the screwdriver then it is relatively easy to take the Ds apart and fix any problems.

Hope this helps
