Question about Audio Players & Recorders

Open Question

I recently purchased a set of Kross Bazooka Gold speakers. The set includes a suboofer and two satellite speakers. The subwoofer is working but I can't figure out how to get the satellite speakers working. I thought they just plugged in to the audo output area of the subwoofer but it doesn't work. In addition the plugs on the satellite speakers are tipped with some sort of orange rubber plastic part, which I thought should be metal. I wonder if this orange material is some sort of sheath which needs to be removed. Any thoughts?

SOURCE: Left speaker doesnt work

I have the same exact problem. This is why I don't like speaker cables that are permanently attached to the speaker. Arg. Now I have to go through the hassle of returning these!

SOURCE: Right speaker doesn't work

I had this very same problem and I had my system for about 2 weeks. I have seen a lot of similar posts on this site so it seems that this problems happens a lot. For some reason my right speaker just stopped working so i came to this site for help. I looked at alot of posts and nothing fixed the problem. when i switched the right speaker to the left input it started to work so I knew the speakers were fine. So i finally decided to unplug everything and restart my laptop. Once my laptop rebooted I plugged the sub back into the wall after about a minute of it being not plugged in. Then I plugged all the the wires and volume control back into the sub and turned the switch back on. Make sure the volume control is down when you plug everything back in. Then plug the wire into the device, which in my case was a laptop, and start to play some tunes. Right away everything was working perfectly fine again and no problems ever since...for me atleast.

HOPE THIS HELPS

SOURCE: need wiring and 9pin connector diagram

Dell (Altec Lansing) A425 Subwoofer Pinouts

This is a standard female DB-9 serial port.
Here are the pinouts.

Pin 1 = Left Speaker Out +

Pin 2 = Left Speaker Out - (Common Ground)

Pin 3 = Left Line In +

Pin 4 = Right Line In +

Pin 5 = Left/Right line In - (Common Ground)

Pin 6 = Right Speaker Out +

Pin 7 = Right Speaker Out - (Common Ground)

Pin 8 = Power A

Pin 9 = Power B

Jumper (short) Power A to B to turn on.
If you want a volume control you need to put one on the inputs. You will buy buy a stereo volume control or potentiometer.
Here is some info on how to do this.

SOURCE: Want to use only subwoofer of HK695

The problem is that you need the satallite speakers , they have the volume control on them which thats why you only hear the subwoofer.. yes , i tried other speakers to it and no sound either. So you will need the satellite speakers it come with.. good luck!!

Good Morning. I've purchased kross bazooka thunder usb stereo speaker do I need to install a special driver or sound card and do you know what will work with windows xp. Thanks for your time.

If you have Win XP SP2 or higher you should be fine with just the USB speakers. When you plug them in the computer will tell you if it found the speakers and installed the driver for them. It will say equipment is installed and working or it will say equipment did not install properly if there is a problem.

I have an MTX1000xd and two Bazooka RS104DV's what wiring config?

Parallel will give you higher output but if you're hooking up all 3 you better use some very thick wire. Are you hooking these up to amp(s)?Sounds like a fuse is going to blow eventually too.
Good luck bro'!

Hello the bazooka power wont come on

So it is a powered tube, yes? Can't remember, does the Bazooka have a fuse on it? If it is powered, you blew the board.

What up with my subwoofer?

Sometimes the Bazooka tubes have an internal amp. I am not sure of this model but maybe you can Splice in directly to the Speaker Wire and bypass the AMP in the Tube if it has one

Go to the following website www.servicemanuals.net where you can get the service manual for $17.00, unbelieveable, don't you think? The service manual should help you sort out your hookup problems. Good luck.
