Question about Audio Players & Recorders

1 Answer

The left channel on my Plantronics P590 headphones went out. I suspect a loose wire, but not sure how to access it. I would just as well send it in for repair, but not sure where. Also a good idea to replace the rechargable batteries becaue it has been left uncharged for so long. Suggestions? -Chuck

The same thing happened to mine. On mine the problem was in the right ear piece. Just gently tug on or turn the soft black part and it will pop off. There are two little screws you need to take out. Then there will be two plastic clasps holding it from the inside. Gentle separate with a small flat screw driver and push them in. I couldn't get the circular metal part off where the mic tube comes in so I just dealt with the small space... i.e. I couldn't lift it up all the way. Good luck, hope that helps. Dave

Loose wiring plantronics C610M

If you have a loose wire, there's no choice but to repair it or replace it(the wire). Then again, it depends on whether or not it's the mike or headphone, that's intermittent. For more information, please visit my website at audioserviceclinic.com. Thank you.

The left headphone on my Plantronics Gamecom Pro 1 headset seems to not be working. Occassionally upon plugging it back in (it is USB), both headphones will work, but then the left one seems to cut out...

Most headphones are sealed by clips located underneath the foam (on the ear things). Stick a paperclip or xacto knife into the hole to unlatch the clips and then pry it outward. However, check the cable for any obvious breaks before disassembling your headphones.

Winamp/bluetooth/plantronics p590

I have found that winamp doesn't automatically output through any hands-free headphones, therefore you need to go into Preferences on Winamp (Ctrl+P), go to:
-Plugins/Output
-select Nullsoft DirectSound Output -->configure
-select Device tab
-select 02: Bluetooth Hands-Free Audio
-click apply
If music is already playing, click STOP then PLAY, pause will not do it.

I have been looking for this fix all day on the internet, but finally worked it out myself.
Hopefully this post will make someone else's day less stressful!

I need to know how to activate the bluetooth for the plantronics p590

first thing is look in your man. for the pairing operation....its gonna be a button you hold down on the headphones that makes it discoverable to what ever your pairing it to. then you just tell the other device to look for devices...should sync right up...if it asks for a code it should be in the man. as well...otherwise try the classics...1234, 0000, 9999,and the like...its always for digits

Plantronics Bluetooth Headset P590

This is a "known issue" that I have raised to Plantronics. Whether they do anything about it, remains to be seen. The workaround I have discovered seems to work with both of my P590 headphones that stopped charging:

1. Plug in the USB charging cable to a laptop or computer that is powered on.
2. Connect the USB charging cable to the headphones
3. Connect the 3.5mm headphone cord cable to the headphone output on the laptop of computer (this is the long cable with the normal 3.5mm stereo plug at each end)
4. Plug the other end of the 3.5mm cable into the P590 input.

The headphones should start charging.
