I have a general lee cb with a 4-pin standard mic. the wires in my mic cord broke at the plug. does wnyone know how to wire this type of mic back and what color wires go to the correct pin?there are 6...

Here are the Pin outs for different mics that will work with your radio. If a wire is not listed then you cut it off. It's best to keep the wires as short as possible no longer than a half inch is suggested. Normally the Cobra pin out is standard for most radios.

Stock - 1- Shield (Ground) 2- Yellow (Audio) 3- Red (Transmit) 4- White (Receive)

Astatic - (4 wire) 1- Shield 2- White 3- Red 4- Black

Astatic - (6 wire) 1- Shield & Blue 2- White 3- Red 4- Black Yellow NC

Daiwa EM-500, Cobra, CA Series - 1- Shield & Black 2- Red 3- White 4- Blue

Galaxy DC-521S - (4 wire) 1- Shield 2- Yellow 3- Red 4- Black

Galaxy CB-660EI - 1- Shield & Black 2- White 3- Red 4- Blue

Sadelta - 1- Shield 2- White 3- Brown 4- Green

Turner - 1- Shield & Red 2- White 3- Blue 4- Black Yellow NC

6 hp Briggs & Stratton won't start when engine is hot

I would remove the muffler and spark aresstor and clean them as good as you can. I have used spray choke and carb clweaner on both to help break up carbon build up.You can spray cleaner on the inside of the muffler and let set for a little while then wire brushthe outside. You can also use wire brush the clean aresstor screen.Use compressed air to blow out muffler ifyou can.
I would check the porcelin insulation on the plug to make sure it has no hairline cracks that could open up when the engine gets hot. Also check vent hole in fuel tank cap to make sure it is clean and not allowing a vacumn to form restricting gas flow.Thank you.

In middle of concert epiphone stopped, took it apart where plug goes in wire came off , but can't figure out where to solder it back, it is one wire with outside ground?

If it is a coax with a wire in the center and a shield outside, the wire will attach to the contact that touches the tip of your plug you insert. The shield will attaach to the part that touches the sleeve of you plug. inspect the jack carefully as they can be foolers. When stripping the insulation back un-braid the shield a little to be able to solder it to the jack. Use a pair of needlenose and a helper to keep soldering heat from going up the braid and melting the insulation of the internal wire. Test unit before putting cover on.

The YST SW305 amplifies both sound and undesired noises. Is there a means so as to prevent its response to go below 30hz?

Yes you can cut off the low frequency response by putting a capacitor in series with the input. Cut the RCA cable connected to the input and connect a .047MFD capacitor in series to the "hot" wire.
The hot wire is the wire inside the braided shield wire, this is the signal positive and the outer shield wire is the signal negative.Leave the negative intact. And experiment with various values of capacitors between .047 to ..22MFD till you are satisfied. The rating of the capacitor need be only 50volts.

I need the wiring for the mic

Hello,
Here is the wire diagram for several common mics in relation to a 4 pin CB. Most recent 4 pin CB's such as Midland, Cobra, Connex, Uniden, etc can use 4 pin mics. The wiring is actually depending on the mic rather than the CB so long as the CB's are 4 pin as well. Once you go back to late 80's the 4 pin design was a little different. Anything new it is simpler.
Stock Mic 1- Shield (Ground) 2- Yellow (Audio) 3- Red (Transmit) 4- White (Receive)
Astatic - 4 wire 1- Shield 2- White 3- Red 4- Black
static - 6 wire 1- Shield & Blue 2- White 3- Red 4- Black Yellow NC

Daiwa EM-500 Cobra CA Series 1- Shield & Black 2- Red 3- White 4- Blue
Galaxy DC-521S - 4 wire 1- Shield 2- Yellow 3- Red 4- Black
Galaxy CB-660EI 1- Shield & Black 2- White 3- Red 4- Blue
Sadelta 1- Shield 2- White 3- Brown 4- Green
Turner RK56 Road King 1- Shield & Red 2- White 3- Blue 4- Black Yellow NC

Audio Technica PRO-35: need wiring diagram for mic end

If you feel the shield goes to the middle, try red on one terminal and white on the other. If not, reverse it.

If it's labeled on the circuit board...pin 1, pin 2, pin 3, then pin 1 is usually ground, pin 2 is hot (red), and pin 3 is cold.

Properly connecting the mic cable to the pins. my mic is currently in a state of repair due to the absence of the original cable.

For low impedance A3F/A3M, two wires with Shield
Pin 1 is ground/shield
Pin 2 is hot or +
Pin 3 is cold or -

For high impedance A3F/A3M, one wire with Shield
Pin 1 is ground/shield
Pin 2 is hot
Pin 3 is not used.

I want to replace the spark plugs and wires on my 03 impala 3.8l. There is a heat shield on th eplug. Can this shield be removed? is there a special tool to remove the wires?

The heat shield on the plug wires are there to keep the heat off the wires.I believe they are only on the rear ones.Yes they do come off. They need to be installed on the new ones. There are some special pliers that are for removing the wires but sometimes they ruin the wires. The best way to remove the plug wires is to grab and twist back and forth and out. What happens is the rubber part kind of sticks on the porcelin part of the plug and you have to twist it to break it loose.Hope this helps.Good luck.
