  • Get a long and thin object. A heavy gauge straight pin, a push pin, or even the tip of a sharpened pencil will do for this project.
  • Locate the reset button on the back of your router. It will be small, rubbery, and inset into the case. The word "Reset" will be below the button.
  • Turn off the computer, and disconnect the router from the computer. Leave the power to the router connected to a power source. This will not work if the router is powered off.
  • Press the reset button with the long and thin object that you picked out in step one.
  • Count to seven slowly. After seven seconds you can let go of the button.
  • Look for the buttons on the front to flash. When you have reset the device the lights will all flash at the same time. If you are not looking at the right moment you may miss this brief flash.

You can reset the router to factory defaults. there is a reset hole on the back of the router to push something thin in for about 20 seconds. Just google belkin factory reset for more info if you cant work it out

How do I recover from lost guest password?

If you can log into the router you should be able to simply reset the guest PSK to whatever you like. If you have a computer that can successfully connect to the guest network you can open an elevated command prompt on it and type netsh wlan export profile name="ProfileName" folder="C:\" key=clear Replace ProfileName with the SSID for the network.

Reset the Belkin to default settings and reconfigure the SSID and the Security Key. You can find a User/Setup Manual here: http://www.belkin.com/networking/manual/MAN_F9K1103_8820-00778_RevA01_N750.pdf

Need network key for belkin g+ router 802.11g

if you own the router and you don't know the network key or forgot it.
you need to reset your router, please check the intructions that came with it. if you haven't change the admin password (which is by deafult blank) go into the admin page and change or delete the network password doing something similar to this
if you don't have or can't remember the admin password you need to restore the router to defaults to reconfigure it

if you don't own the router and don't know the network key you need to ask the router owner for the key or use a program to hack into the router signal and attempt to figure the key out. (not recommended as it is ilegal)

Forgot my security password (network key)I need to

Logon to your router from your computer using your browser and going to http://192.168.1.2/. If it wants a username, the default username is blank and the default password is either blank or "password".

The Belkin management tool will come up. From there, go into your security and look to see if your passphrase is visible. If it is, you're good to go. If not, you can change it on that page save it and close out.
Don't forget to change the passphrase on any wireless devices you are using connected to the Belkin wireless router.

    Is belkin router f5d8230-4 a g or n? i need tyhis

It is a PRE-N router, which means:

When you see a “pre-n” product, it is one designed based on the future “n.”
standard, but is not a standard. It will generally only work with that companies devices, which means if you buy brand XYZ’s wireless router, you will also need to buy brand XYZ’s wireless networking adapters for all of your computers.
Interoperability between pre-n and non pre-n devices can be difficult and even if you get it to work, you don’t gain anything unless everything is pre-n.

Left network key for belkin router behind in states

Try dooing a Compleete reset of your router. there is a tiny tiny hole on the bak side of your router ( sometimes on the front ) and it should say RESET engraved over it, find a tac or a small needle ( maybe toothpick ) and hit the reset butten behind the hole, make shure it says " RESET " over the hole, and dont push to hard, leave router standing for a cupple of minutes and try the default WEP key listed on the underside of your router.

    Forgot network key

Do you remember your router password? If so, there are probably ethernet ports on the back of the router that you can connect to with a cable. Log into the router and change the key.
