Hi,

  • The system plays for awhile, but then shuts off on its own
    • If the problem occurs every now and then (but not frequently or regularly), please click here to view our "No Power" troubleshooting by clicking here.
    • If you are able to get power to come back on, but then it keeps going out, the problem is likely due to either overheating or from an unlicensed accessory tripping the fuse on the AC Adapter. Please check for the following:
      1. Make sure that the word "Wii" and the model number "RVL-002 (USA)" molded into the AC adapter. Unlicensed products are not fully compatible and may not work correctly.
      2. Avoid the use of unlicensed products such as memory cards, controllers, and cheat devices. Some of these products are poorly manufactured and may result in damage to your system. If one of these products is attached to your system, remove it and try resetting the AC Adapter (see above).
      3. Check all accessories, licensed or not, for physical damage. Physical damage, such as frayed wiring or a cracked housing can cause the system to shut down. Remove any damaged products and try resetting the AC Adapter (see above).
      4. Make sure the Wii has good ventilation. Avoid operating the Wii while it's on carpeting or inside an enclosed space. If you have the Wii placed in a vertical position, make sure the vents on the bottom are lined up properly with the hole in the plastic stand and no foreign material is obstructing that hole.
      5. Check the vent on the back and side (or bottom, depending on how you have the system positioned) of the Wii for dust build up. The system will shut down if it cannot vent properly to prevent overheating. If there is a build-up, remove it using a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush attachment.
      6. If the above steps do not solve the problem, you should try resetting the AC Adapter. Click here for instructions on how to do this.

If none of those tips help you, I recommend contacting Nintendo at 1-800-255-3700, between 6am - 7pm, Pacific Time, 7 days a week for further assistance.

Idont know how to cheat

Not all games have "cheats". If you would like I can direct you to some websites that have walkthrough's and cheats to many games. Other then that there isn't much "cheating" that can be done.

If you need further assistance let me know.

I put new batteries in, all four light flash four times and then it shuts down.I pushed the little red button next to the batteries and all four lights flash fout times and then shut down. Can this be...

What shuts down? The Wii Remote?

If so, sounds like they need to be synced to the Wii. When the controller looks for a connection and doesn't find it, they will shut down to save battery life.

You need to turn on the Wii with the Wii Remote [press power button on the Wii remote that is working] then click into the Wii Menu by clicking the HOME button on the Wii remote. You will then click to Wii Remote Settings. From there, click RECONNECT on the Connection menu. That will instruct you to press 1 & 2 on each remote to sync them.

For more information, click to the following NINTENDO website which tells you everything you need to know that you've asked:

I play my Wii for about 15 minutes and then it just shuts off. I have to unplug and plug back in the AC adapter to get it work again. When I start playing again, the problem happens again.

Sounds like classic computer problem with overheating. I know there is a stand with a built in fan for the Wii. But the normal stand should be enough. Have u dusted around you Wii? Everything with cooling has some amount of dust that finds it way into the machine. And all pc and consoles shut down when overheating, as a protective measure. Otherwise stuff would melt inside.

Reset the ipod by holding down both the 'off' button and the 'round button on the front bottom of ipod' at the same time and hold them until it shuts down. This may cause you to loose apps and act as a reset to your settings, but at least you can work with it again.

The power indicator light on the console stays yellow - even when the console is shut off.

Normal after setting up a wi-fi connection. Just lets you know wii connect 24 is on so you can get updates and messages automatically. Let me know if you have any other questions, I can answer anything about the Wii.
