My printer isn't printing, the teardrop button is flashing on and off and the down arrow button is flashing on and off. Does this just mean I am out of ink?

Yes, you don't have ink. you can refill your cartridge by your own or you can go to an expert. take care that the colour number of your cartridge to be the same with the ink you buy.

I had a paper jam and I have removed the paper but I still have a problem. the little tear drop looking light underneath the top button is flashing and it wont print. what does it mean and how do i fix it.

The teardrop looking light is the Print Cartridge Status light.

If you have already removed the paper and still this light is blinking, then make sure you close the top cover. If it stops blinking, try to print again.

If not, then try the steps on this link.

It has the steps on how to make sure that the carriage can move freely.

I hope this helps!

Printer stopped printing; amber teardrop is flashing; no paper jam; cartridges should not be empty. Shouldn't there be a notice of low ink before it just stops printing? Or, the printed pages be faint? All...

The top access door on the printer might be open, or there might be something wrong with the print cartridge.
  1. Check to make sure that the top access door is firmly closed.
  2. If the light continues to blink, open the top access door. When the top access door opens, the print carriage moves so the yellow arrow on top of the print carriage points to a drawing of a cartridge inside the cover. Each drawing describes a symptom.

Printer won't print. "teardrop" light is flashing.

"teardrop" light is Ink level indicator. It is saying you are out of ink or that there is a problem with that cartridge. remove it and inspect it, making sure it is not covered with any tape, and reinsert it. If it still fails, get it replaced. If the new replacement fails, you have a failed printing device, and you need another printer.
