i dont see a spot for earphone on monitor, did find tag though, its a en7100s, can u tell me where earphone connection would be? thanks

  • mduncan349 Sep 07, 2010

i believe speakers are in the monitor, never had special jacks hooked up for speakers before, been to microsoft website and went through their trouble shooting page with no fix! I dont know, this might be a 17" screen, info from back of it is EN 7100s

I'll take any other suggestions you have, downloaded new drivers also.

    Thanks

Check to see if you plugged it in the right plug in the back of the computer on the sound card ..it has to be plugged into the green out ..or if it is a sound card with more than 3 outlets ..than look for the SPK out ..(usually green) ..
there can be nothing unless you plugged it wrong ..or an sound card error occurred on the move ..
so ..
check the plug to be in the right one ...and best way to do this.. and see if ti is or not a computer issue ..is to start a song n a player ..raze teh volumes..(check the master volume ..and also the mute case on the master volume into the task bar ...the speaker icon )..and to be sure ..try to plug it first into the headset out in the front if it has one ...if it works it means that you just missed the right plug in the back ..so ..take them one by one .case it may be wrong wired and the plugs not in the right place ..
Let me know what you have done ..
and if you are sure its all ok ..but still not working ..we will troubleshoot it further ..
I mean checking the sound card to be plugged well..and reinstalling the driver just in case..But I thing that this will be not necessary if it worked well before replacing it ..
Just check the plug like I said ..and the mute from the computer 's master volume ..

Hi. It must be your speakers that is having a problem. Try to plugged in an earphone and see if you will be hearing a sound. if nothing happens then this could be a sound card problem. Try re-installing the driver of the sound card and still same thing happened then this could be a sound card problem.

Headphone jack in tv has stopped working when putting speakers or headphones in is making a loud clicking sound. Is there anyway to connect speakers or headphones to the tv without using this jack? Have...

What type of TV, IE: Make and Model. If you have a SCART socket, then you can probably use the audio output connections on the SCART cable to connect to your stereo.

One thing to check is that your TV isn't muted! I know it sounds silly, but lots of people have inadvertently muted their TV's and not realized it.

My Boston Digital BA735 speakers are not working. power is on. cords are correctly placed, volume on comp is not muted

Try to isolate the problem. Connect the speakers to another computer or mp3 player or stereo. Test the speakers for sound making sure all volume switches are on. If they work look to sound settings on your computer.

When i watch dvds, the background noise is loud

Go to your set up menu, navigate to speaker set up and check your sound levels to front, center, and rear channels. Adjust as needed to fit the room. My Sony has a test tone option which sends a signal (at levels selected) to each speaker to check sound level and if speaker is connected and in right place.

Yamaha RX-V2700 no sound from any speaker outputs

Make sure that you have the correct input signal selected.
Also, check if the sound is not muted.
If you have a multi-room speaker switch, make sure it is set correctly to main speakers.
