SOURCE: blurred image on LCD registered when pic is taken

CHECK The memory chip to see if the picture is blurred too.

I think that is over a hundred dollars to repair. call canon and see what they say. but for that much money, you may want to trade up to some newer technologies. many great changes have come true since your model.

All my recent pictures taken on my Canon SD780IS camera have a thin vertical line running down the right side of the photos. What is causing this and how do I fix it?

Hi if you also see the vertical line from computer, then your camera has defective ccd unit or main image control pcb defective. Most of case ccd problem are common and main. your local repair shop would charge around $45 to 135 depend on what they want to charge. Thanks and best regard!

Blurry spot on bottom left of picture

It sound like you have some dust particles or a smudge spot on the CCD screen (actually on the low-pass filter in front of image chip). To leave an image on CCD, the dusts must be closer to the image plane to be registered so it should be somewhere closer to the screen or right on it. Take a look at the screen with "CCD Clean" mode and blow out any dust. If the smudge is on the screen, I recomend trained tech should clean it. good luck. Hi my canon A70 will not let me view my subject -- instead, I get a striated screen of purple and black that I can't change. What's up?

I had the same problem and found that on the Canon website there was a CCD Image Sensor Advisory for this product. When I called the service number (1-800-828-4040) they were very helpful. Canon will pay shipping for your camera and repair the CCD Image Sensor free. Good luck!

Focus problems.

The canon 5d was suspected to produced low sharp pictures, but it's wrong. Sharpness is a parameter on the 5D. You can tune it in the menu/image style/ then you choose your style and hit "jump". The first cursor is sharpeness. Enjoy.
