How do i scan a picture to e-mail with HP 1350 all one

"Scan to email" feature is dependent upon the TWAIN and MAPI supported applications. TWAIN and MAPI (Message Application Programming Interface) are standards that relate to "Scanning" and "Scan to email" features respectively. Applications have to support these to make use of HP Director. Not all email accounts are MAPI supported applications. The following are the ones which satisfy the MAPI criteria.

Microsoft Outlook Express 6

Microsoft Outlook Express 5

Microsoft Outlook Express 4

Microsoft Outlook 2000

Microsoft Outlook 98

Microsoft Outlook 97

AOL E-mail Version 8

AOL E-mail Version 5

AOL E-mail Version 4

If you are not using any of the above email accounts, you need to configure your email account with Microsoft Outlook/Outlook Express to use this feature. After configuring, you can use the scan to Email feature by perfroming the following steps.

1. Open HP Director/ HP Solution Center.

2. Click Settings -->> Scan Settings & Preferences --->> Scan to... Setup.

3. Select the available destinations and add them to the front panel destinations.

4. While scanning, you will receive a window showing the scan details which contains the section "Where do you want to scan?". Select "Email".

Problem with AOL recently is that they have inserted ads in Spanish at the bottom of my mailbox and in my emails as well. Those revolving ads are supposed to be in English only. That's why AOL latino is...

I assume that you are not in Spain or any other region where Latin or Spanish is widely spoken like in South America.
That said, Check your Windows settings first,
(1)Go to Start menu.
(2) On the start menu go to control panel.
(3) In the control panel you will find Regional settings or Region and Language, in your Windows Vista.
(4) Make sure the Format, Language, Keyboard language etc has correct settings i.e.If your in United States it should reflect that because many online applications like AOL pick there settings from there.
(5)In a similar manner check as much as possible that the regional settings in other web/internet applications like hotmail and yahoo etc if you use them are correct and does not pertain to Spain or any other unwanted world regions. Just look around and explore in those applications.
(6)Restart your PC for the settings to take effect.

If this does not work then try the solution#2
Give up your account on server without loosing your contacts.
(1) Export all contacts to your computer from AOL contacts, contact management tab or the like.
(2) Save the contacts (which is usually a single and a small file) on your local machine on desktop or another secure and accessible location.
(3) Completely terminate or delete your account on the AOL.
server and make sure it happens before you go any further. This is very important.
(4) Once you confirm with AOL about your account deletion. You recreate your account with AOL all over again and be very vigilant about the information you give with the sign up form esp. the regional info.
(5)Once the account is recreated with same AOL ID as I suggest import all your contacts back into your account giving the file path inside your AOL email interface to the location in your computer by the same option you exported it. This option will be found in tabs inside you email like Contacts or Contacts management. It is quite easy!
(6) for some reason if you do not recreate your AOL ID which is highly unlikely. You can consider having another ID on AOL with a different user name and then import all your contacts there. After that create a group for all your contacts put all the contacts (of your friends, family and loved ones etc.) and send an email about the "change of your email/chat address" to that group so that they can update you information in there account.

Good Luck!

When i sign onto yahoo messenger it immediatly crashes any idea how to fix this. the following is the message i get. Problem signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: YAHOOM~1.EXE...

Hi leatherne223,
  • Have you installed Additions to Yahoo Messenger?
  • If you did so, please remove them using Add/Remove Programs.
  • Have you added any Audibles or Smilies (yahoo or third party plugins)?
  • If you did so, please uninstall them.
  • Make sure your Hard Drive, RAM are in good condition.
  • ntdll is responsible for I/O functions, Threads, Sync, Timing, Messages etc. Works with Windows Kernel and performs low-level tasks (API stuff also). So it has to be a conflict with I/O function (Input Output) most probably - Network I/O. Often caused by components of some Software which call Kernel functions via ntdll. So make sure that your Internet connection and hardware are reliable and clear. Make sure your Documents and Settings/ %your account%/ Local Settings/ Temp is healthy and clean. Especially no malware should be there. Delete all the Temp files manually.
  • Make sure your Flash Player and IE works fine or else upgrade/update them.
  • If the problem persists, backup the Yahoo folder in Program Files.
  • Uninstall the program. Delete all the remaining files and folders in Program Files as well as Temp folder.
  • Re install it with Minimal Components.
  • Run it from a Separate User Account (Right click on the Program Shortcut and select Run As. Run as an Administrator if the current account is not the same. Or else use another Admin Account. Check whether it crash. If its not happening, its a problem with System Configurations related to your User profile.
  • User Profile is the Windows User Profile.
  • Run an Updated Anti Virus Suite a well.
  • Make sure that your Windows Updates have contain no errors. Check Windows Update Site regularly.
Hope this helps.
Feel free to contact again.
Please rate the answer as well.
Thanks for using Fixya!

Download

I will answer this in two areas.
  1. You have an AOL account on a machine and you want to make sure your favorites and emails make it to the new computer
  2. You downloaded and installed AOL on one machine and you do not want to have to download it again.
I will answer the second one first.
  • aoldnld.exe is a very small file that you get from aol.com to install AOL 9.5 on your computer. As it installs it gets the rest of the files from the Internet. The computer would have to be connected to the Internet to use the file from the flash drive.
As to the first scenario;
  • Aol has a menu to back up your favorites.
  • Click on the Favorites bar at the top of the screen
  • Click on manage
  • Click on Save my favorites to a file on my computer
  • You will get to choose the location to save the file
  • Select your flash drive.
To backup your Personal Filing Cabinet:

1. Close the AOL software.
2. Click Start, click All Programs or Programs, click AOL, and then click AOL System Information.
Note: If you are unable to access AOL System Information, go to the help article Open Data Folder for instructions on how to manually open the Data Folder. Once done, click the Back button in the help article to return to this article, and then continue from step 4.
3. Open the Data folder:
  • If you are using AOL 9.5, AOL Desktop, AOL 9.1, or any version of AOL 9.0, click the AOL Software tab, and then click Open Data Folder.
  • If you are using AOL 9.0 Optimized, click Data Folder.
  • If you are using AOL 8.0 plus or lower versions, click Folder.
4. Right-click the Organize folder, and then click Copy.
5. Right-click on your desktop, and then click Paste.
6. Click X on the upper right to close open windows.
You can now send this folder as an attachment through e-mail or save it to your USB drive to either keep it as a backup or transfer it to another computer.

AOL Software

Hi there,

The file which is missing is located in
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\AOL\C_America Online 9.0\idb\SNMaster.id

Browse to C:\Program Files\AOL 9.1\ and double click on aol.exe. It should start just fine.

To copy the AOL data files and move them to the right location:
1. Click the Start button, then open My Computer.

Note: If using Windows Vista, click the Start button, then click Computer.

2. Access the AOL folder.

If using Windows 2000 or Windows XP, double-click the Local Disk (C:), then navigate to Windows\All Users\Application Data\AOL folder.
If using Windows Vista, double-click the Local Disk (C:), then navigate to the Windows\ProgramData|AOL folder. Windows Vista users can alternatively search for C_AOL90 to find it.

3. Right-click the C_AOL90 folder, then click Copy.
Note: If there are multiple copies of the C_AOL90 folder, copy the folder with the later letter next to it. e.g.: If you have C_AOL90a and C_AOL90b, then C_AOL90b is folder that would need to be copied.

4. Paste the folder into the correct location.
If using Windows 2000 or Windows XP, navigate to the C:\Documents And Settings\All Users\Application Data\AOL folder. Right-click the AOL folder, then click Paste.
If using Windows Vista, navigate to the C:\ProgramData\AOL folder. Right-click the AOL folder, then click Paste.
Notes:

If you do not find the Application Data folder, it may be hidden. To see all hidden folders on Windows XP or 2000, click the Tools menu, click Folder Options, then click the View tab. Under Hidden files and folders, choose the Show hidden files and folders option by clicking it, then click the OK button.
If you do not find the ProgramData folder, it may be hidden. To see all hidden folders, click the Organize menu, click Folder and Search Options, then click the View tab. Under Hidden files and folders, choose the Show hidden files and folders option by clicking it, then click the OK button.

5. Launch the AOL® software again.

Warm regards,

Anirban Mazumdar

Windows Restore only displays one restore date; history is gone.

Restores are only recorded when a system change is made or you manually set one. Since panda is a program and not a system change it will not set a restore date. Uninstall panda. Go to c:\program files and delete Panda Software folder. In Vista go to C:\Users\<user>\AppData\ (where user is your user account) and delete all folders related to panda. In XP that same folder will be C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data
