Question about Samsung SCH-u340 Cellular Phone

1 Answer

How do i take it apart.

I took the 4 screws out of the back of the phone but I don't know how to get the phone to come apart, i'm guessing there's a holding clip on the plastic but i don't know where it is or how to pop it apart. Help is appreciated! Thanks,
Carter

Using your fingernail, there are multiple plastic clips that should pop off as you run your finger around the edge, let me know if you still can't get it, you may also try a small flat headed screwdriver to pry it apart.

Knowing a little of how mechanical things are designed I would guess that when you took it apart you didn't notice exactly how the mechanism was set up that triggers the reclining feature. I would take it apart again. Then canalize how the reclining mechanism should work. It's probably to pieces that are not fastened together but are only held by positioning on assembly.

Vacuum smells and is not picking up well. Took the pole apart and I don't know hao to open the bottom.

To get into to the bottom of the vacuum, flip it to where you can see the bottom of the baseplate. Only unscrew the recessed screws...4 to 5 screws. Once you have removed those, the basepalte will pop off. It is probably just clogged at the bottom.

You don't need to take apart all the back cover. Only the small rectangule part where the back support is located. The hard drive is located under the small cover.

You need a technician to reassemble it. There are no diagrams detailing every screw.

Good Luck!

Dropped the phone in the water. How do I get it apart as much as possible to dry it out b4 turning it back on? tookout the 4 screws already.

Helps to know what phone it is. Most snap together. You can pry them apart with your thumb nail or a small screw driver.

LG KG 800 slide

it is a pain to open these. 1. remove the battery & undo the 4 black screws. LG use a thread locking compound (loctite) on all the screws so they will be a **** to undo. 2.Prise the back cover off. 3. Pop apart the 2 rectangular connectors at the top of the keypad circuit board. 4. Lift the top board slightly & pop apart the ribbon/flex cable from the top board. The big silver bit comes off with the flex cable. There is a small bit of adhesive on this so be gentle. 5. undo the 6 silver screws holding the slide mechanism together & lift the slide off over the flex cable. 6. pop the 2 screw covers off the top of the phone then undo the 6 screws holding the front cover on. 7. pop the flex cable off. then the touch pad connector. then the camera lens connector. Gently pull the screen circuit board out of the front cover. Careful as sometimes the speaker is glued in place. 8. Unclip the lcd connector & gently remove the small battery looking thing (it's got red & blue wires on it) from the back of the lcd panel. It's glued on. Have fun. It took me ages to work this out.

Mic not working.

It worked well for me too! Thanks Fixya.com!! I was told I had to buy a new phone because the microphone went back. Took the receiver apart (4 screws in back of handset and 2 that held the board in place), cleaned mic with alcohol and a q-tip, and removed the rubber piece that kept the mic clean (inside of the housing), and presto, it worked just fine. The ribbon cable came loose upon opening up inside of phone, but I stuck it back inside the top of base and I was ready to go.
