There should be a label on the motor that explains the capability.

A very advanced table saw may have a motor that can be wired for either 110 or 220. The table saw I can afford would have a either a 220 or 110 motor.

How do i switch from 230 to 115 motor is over heating superflo 1.5 hp

Changing from 220 to 110 will not reduce the temperature of your pump motor ... it may increase it.

If you insist and you know what you are doing, remove the back cover of the motor and examine the wiring. It should be self evident the change you must make. Next, you will have to replace the double pole breaker for a single pole and you will have to take the white wire and run that to the neutral bus.

There is that possibility you may have to increase the gage of the wire from #14 to #12 if #14 is installed.

Changing from 220 to 110 will also slightly increase your energy bill.

There are electric motors that run on ether 110 or 220 but wire must be changed on the motor to change from one to the other. Look on the side or end of the motor housing for a identification sicker or plate it well have the information that well tell you which it is or if it can be either.
Now for the bad news if it was sit up for 110 or if it is only 110 the motor is most likely fried.

I am trying to run the delta 10 radial arm saw on 110 but it is running very slowly. Is there some switch or anything to change over from running it on 220 to 110

if this tool is 220 and you are running on 110 that is your problem. Some motors can be rewired to run on the proper current. UNPLUG tool and remove small cover from motor and usually they will have a diagram to show you how to change over. running this on the 110 will burn up the motor.

Need wiring diagram for 1081 motor,1.5hp.I want to change from 220 to 110.

What is the reason you want to change? 220 is not only stronger ... it is cheaper to run. If wiring is a problem, (this pump should be on its own circuit) simply replace the single pole breaker with a double pole and take the existing white wire and turn it into a "red" wire for your 220, (put the white (red) wire on the second pole of the new breaker.)

If you will remove the cover on the back of the motor, you will probably find a plug that you move from the 220 position to the 110 position. Change the plug from 220 / 20 amp to 110 / 20 (or what ever the motor will require) Normally, when you change the voltage in this direction (down) you send the amps up by 2 times. What I mean is if the motor uses 7.5 amps at 220, you will be using 15 amps at 110. Make sure you have at least #12 wire for a little extra safety.

220 VAC is more efficient ... so there is some cost savings in the money department. Volts X amp = watts generally ... there is still a savings because you will actually consume fewer watts at 220 (watts is what you are purchasing form the power company)

Wiring depends ...you going to use 110 or 220? if 110 ... black is hot and goes to L1 ... white is nutral and goes to L1.

If 220 ... black is hot and goes to L1 - white is hot and goes to L2.

Your owner manual has a good picture and description of this.

In the plug ... 110 - neutral should go to the left slot.

Is your breaker 110 or 220 (single pole or double pole - one slot or two slots)

These voltages are not compatable!

I suggest you use this pump at 220.

Converting from 220 to 110 volts

Most brands of air comperssors are built to work on either 220 or 110 v. I believe that 220 v compressors are more efficient and draw less current and run cooler.
The more expensive compressors have a switch allowing for voltage selection. Still others will have a wiring diagram printed on the motor allowing voltage change by changing jumpers. Most all of the sears compressors that I have repaired were of single voltage with no other way to change except change motor. Do not worry however, you have the better motor. It is easier to convert the outlet plug to 220 by isolating the circuit and installing a 220 v breaker. enjoy
