I have RCA F27669 TV set from 2001. and it's probably analog. Problem is that is not picture on the screen,( video and games work ). When I connect tv with cable box it's the same. My opinion is that I can't switch channels ( needs to be set to channel 3 for cable reception ). How do I solve this problem? Thanks a lot. Radovan

The reason your TV will NOT display is that your TV hasn't a sensitive enough Horizontal sync amplifier, these days the sets are very very sensitive, in this area, and TV's from this generation have all sorts of problems locking on to a low level, received signal.
You most likely need to Tune the TV into that Channel 3, to make it receive if it can indeed do so.

If not as a work around do the below...
What you need to do, is get a Cable Box, decoder that outputs to an External outputs like, , HDMI, Composite, or Component. None of these use the TUNER at all, and work the same as your Games and DVD, which all feed into the TV via an External input. Which you indicate works well.
BTW are you sure you have the Tuner selected when you try to use your Cable Box, are you sure that there are no other outputs that could be used on the Cable Box output.
If there is indeed NO Antenna Input, then I imagine your Tuner has malfunctioned, and would need to be repaired, although i doubt it would be economically practicable to do so.

Hi,

there might be component problem inside the Tuner

Circuits to the Microprocessor .

One way to view programs is to connect a separate

tuner or use a set top box and connect it the way

you connect your Video and games.

here is a sample image:

I have RCA F27669 TV - 36f1fb1.jpg

select Video on TV , and browse channel on the

set top box or external tuner or your cable Box

( if it have audio and video out )

But if you need to DIY, post so I can help further,

you might be needing tools and equipment,

some basic knowledge and a will

for the repair of the unit. And it would be

starting from the Tuner.

Firstly, CAN??, and then how do I get an NEC NLT-19XT1 television to work with a TEAC High Definition Digital Receiver HDB848 HDMI, please. Anyone know how? Appreciate all the help I can get. Thank

Id the TV Anolog or Digital? If it is analog, then the digital receiver must have RCA outputs to meet the TV's RCA inputs. To make an old analog TV work (meaning getting a picture), you have to check id the receiver has RCA or S-Video outputs. If so, then connect an RCA cable with yellow into yellow, red into red and white into white and then connect the same colors plugs to the yellow, red and white to the RCA inputs of the TV. Or, you can connect a S-Video cable plugs in the output of the receiver and the input of the TV, disconnect the yellow RCA plugs at both the receiver and TV sockets and leave the red and white cable for sound only, as S-Video has an improved video signal, therefore better picture quality. On the TV you have to select an AV input channel, like AV1 or AV2, etc. The same channels that you had used when you were once watching VCR tapes on analog TV. Hope this helps.

I am having issues with my RCA Scenium D52W135D (playstation 3 connection). Recently, I have been having a very specific problem with this combo. I have it connected using HDMI to a Pioneer receiver...

Had the same problem. With mine the other day you probably moved your Playstation 3 too another tv and set your 1080i,720,480 to high deaf on settings in Playstation. You have to change them back to automatic that TV says HDTV but it only plays Playstation 3 on 480 checked in settings of Playstation. Played mine for 4 years on that TV moved and got a 3d wifi then dad got him one And was going to trash that RCA but I told him I would take it for now too keep from buying another TV at this time got it in my new home wouldn't play video but it. would sound tried different cables but still now change. But remembered i changed all of my settings over when I got 3D TV. Playstation 3 hadn't been on know other TV. Since I owned it but that RCA now won't work then came to me last night and playing it on both TVs but you have to change the settings on it before moving it or you cant see the screen to fix it do that guarantee it will fix it. Like you said everything else works PS 1,PS 2,DVD, cable, but PS 3 won't its the settings in theme, and audio.

If you are not hooked to a cable service you will need a digital converter box. Check the tv function buttons for antenna, front, game , aux.

Have Dell Dimension 2400 and wanting to connect to Emerson LD195EMX.. attach to PC Monitor connection but no scrren comes up/// WHat else can I do?

Is the PC monitor connection - a DVI or DVI-I connection a 15-pin VGA connection an RCA video connection?
Have you set the television input to match the connector used on the TV?
The display resolution on your computer may not be set to a resolution your TV can handle. There is no point trying to put a 1280 by 800 signal into a VGA connector. Start with 640 by 480. However, this will not give you the high resolution you have come to expect from your PC's monitor.
This set also has HDMI input. If your computer has a DVI or DVI-I output, you can buy an adapter that will connect to that HDMI input. Note that this will only handle the video portion of the output from your computer and you will have to use analog connections for the sound and figure out which TV menu input selections allow high definition video with analog sound (not all sets can do this).
Note that LED TVs are not like CRT TVs where an electron beam can put a dot anywhere on the screen. An LED TV has fixed resolution modes.
It might be necessary to use a software product like "PowerStrip" to create a custom resolution mode that will show a high resolution image that will fill the screen of your TV. I wound up using 1352 x 648 to give a full screen image on my LED TV using the HDMI input. ("Your mileage may vary.")
There is a lot more to connecting a high resolution computer display to an LED TV than just plugging it into the "PC Input".

RCA F27669 TV does not seem to have a Horizontal Hold. My picture has shifted about 2 inches to the left.

Generally speaking: go into the menu where you set up the colours, brightness, backlighting, etc.

Vertical/horizontal adjustments will be in there.

I can't find a manual online to be more specific.

Get closed captions on some channels, but not all, even though it is CC

RCA have choices for different methods of CC in user CC menu. Labelled T1, T2, etc. . Different selections are for different types of close caption. Tune to a signal (on your other TV) that has closed caption working.

Tune your RCA to the same signal. Change the T1,T2, etc settings until the closed caption for your signal appears.

If this doesn't work, try connecting analog video or VHF channel 3 (or other specified channel) to the TV. check CC. When TV stations, sat channels, sat receivers, cable boxes etc, convert analog video signals to HD, problems can result. Some equipment causes RCA TVs to do unexpected things with sound and closed caption.

If you use RF or video output, old analog video may look better on CH3 or video than on HD input and the CC will work more consistently. Watch HD signals on HD input, Analog signals on Video in or through the TV tuner . Many HD channels and programs are converted analog video and look poor on TV HD inputs.

RCA D56W20 picture problems

More information is required to properly troubleshoot this problem. How is your television connected when you are watching HD? Do you have HDMI for this, do you have a satellite or digital cable box? For analogue are you using regular coax antenna (cable TV), or are you going through a cable or satellite box?
This could be related to the aspect ration setting. perhaps you ahve changed your aspect ratio from 16:9 to 4:3 or some other setting. If you are connected via HDMI, then the digital signal may be "normalizing" your picture during HD, but reverting back to the other setting.

Check you video settings very carefully. HD televisions are very difficult to tweak properly.

RCA F27669 27"

The F27669 uses the CTC203 series chassis. The most common cause of that symptom is a shorted horizontal output transistor, caused by a cracked solder joint on a small coil connected to that transistor's base. When this happens, the main B+ supply is shorted to ground so the power supply squeels. Every once in a while I also see the horizontal output transistor shorted due to a shorted flyback (high voltage) transformer. A good tech will replace the horizontal output transistor, resolder the coil and drive transformer, test the flyback (replacing it if necessary) and your set will be back to perfect.
