Question about Philips 32PFL5332D 32 in. LCD Television

Open Question

My Philips 32PFL5522D/05 has been working OK up until recently when about a month ago it decided that it did not want to keep my freeview channels stored so each time I turned on the unit I had to do a channel scan. Then last week I turned on and the digital tv was blue, nothing unusual there but then when I went to access the digital menu nothing would come up! Everything else works OK, analogue tv, wii, ps3 but I can't get up the menu for digital tv and as my channels wouldn't save I cant access any freeview channels. What is the solution to this issue?

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

SOURCE: digital channels have stopped working, only blue screen!

Try resetting the TV:

  1. Switch on TV and switch to any analogue channel.
  2. On the TV: Press and hold the MENU button.
  3. Menu screen will appear on the display.
  4. Do not release the MENU until the menu screen disappears.
  5. TV will go blank for about 60 seconds and then display initial set up screen.
  6. Follow the on-screen prompts to re-tune the TV.
If this does not work then the problem is likely to be a loose ribbon cable or main small signals board inside the TV.

SOURCE: Philips 5522 LCD 32PFL5522D/05 Can't get

You wont be able to receive ceefax / teletext after the digital switch over. As they were a Analogue service. what you need to do now is use the "Red Button" "Interactive" services as they now incorporate the new type of teletext. If you don't get them you will need to retune the set. if that doesn't work I advise contact Philips Support

I need a universal remote code for philips tv 32PFL5522D/05

If the unidentified remote is universal, use code search to find something that will handle some or all functions of your Philips TV. If a search through all codes stored in the remote fails, you may have to try a different universal remote. All universal remotes do not store all possible codes.

There is a power issue. Are you using a power bar to turn it on and off? If so, don't.

We have a Thompson box in the lounge and until recently we had a Technix box in the conservatory. Both gave full coverage and good quality until a few weeks ago, when the Technix box gave very poor quality...

Can you try a non-working box in the Thompson box's location in the lounge? If you swap the boxes in the lounge and they both work normally then you must suspect that the cable supplying the conservatory must be the problem.

Goodmans GTV69RFDT Television had all freeview now only getting 3 channels

First ensure that the TV input is set on the Freeview channels, just in case.

Then check the antenna, when Freeview does not get all channels, it is always the aerial (antenna).

Many areas in UK have still poor reception. If you use an internal antenna, go to Argos or Currys and buy an amplified antenna for freeview, that will improve the signal.
