I have desktop / dell cpu unit pentium 4, 1.8ghz, 512ram, 64 video card, and with xp os on it. My problem is that after i changed the hardisk of cd rom into dvd rom awhile ago, my computer gets too slow....

the best thing you could do is to increase your amount of ram in your pc this will handle the slow down problem. recording software takes quite a bit of ram space dvd software takes more ram than your cdrw. if you video card doesnt have its own on card ram this will also slow you down. depending on the motherboard you have its possible to upgrade the proccessor to a faster one 2.8ghz intel new can be bought for like 17bucks but ram is the easiest and sounds like just what your needing.

Is it possible to upgrade my e-machines 4260 with a grapics card??

Hi:
at the bare minimum, you can upgrade it with a PCI graphics card. That would plug into one of your spare white PCI slots, and they make those with atleast 256mb of memory ( When shopping for one, dont confuse a PCI video card with a PCI express card) I couldn't find enough info on what exact board you have, as they used several, but many had a brown AGP memory slot, which is a better option for you. Keep in mind, also, that if you upgrade the video card and memory , you might need to upgrade your power supply too, due to the higher current requirements of the new card and memory.

If all else fails, bring your tower to a computer shop, and they will usually tell you what you need for free, with hopes to sell a upgrade!

Want to upgrade video card

That depends on
What kind of slots you have.
Many vendors don't sell old products.
Find out what type of slot u have ie (pci) is it white or black?
When you know, that will be key to finding who has your card.
You may want to call a vendor to avoid taking a trip to find they dont carry
the older video card slot types.
If you find one, most old cards have a great price.

How will i know the maximum capacity of the video card i can install for Ep-8hmmi-a?

Your board has na AGP 8x graphics slot on it, this is an older technology and you'll find your upgrade options severly limited I'm afraid.

I'd have to advise looking at a more complete upgrade myself, new motherboard, CPU, memory and graphics.

Blue screen error and intermittent restart issue

before you update bios, sounds like there is a problem with something getting hot inside your computer. check, proccessor fan. make sure it is working properly and the heatsink is attached correctly. other to check is video card, if it has fan on it, make sure it works. sometimes if you add an extra fan to blow out hot air from case it helps. the computer will go to shutdown if it senses high heat on any of the components on motherboard.
when you resolve this then goto your motherboards manufacturers website and download latest bios upgrade, usually is a self executable file. run it after save to your computer and it will upgrade your bios.

I want to upgrade processor on A8N SLI DELUXE motherboard. whats the best?

if the proccessor is the same refference with the noe which is there, the only problem is that if there are jumpers on the motherboard which needs to be adjusted when you upgrade the proccessor, you have to look for a quallified technician.

GRAPHICS CARD

That motherboard and videa card connect using the AGP standard so you are quite limited to what video cards you can get without upgrading the entire system. Also, since your system is that old getting a modern graphics card will not help much as the processor (CPU) will limit it greatly.

nVidia has not released an AGP card in a few generations but they did have some back with the 7600 AGP. ATI released an AGP version of it's last generation of cards with the HD3850.

I personally think you are wasting your money and should consider upgrading your entire system if you are planning an playing any games. I would suggest getting the cheapest AGP video card you can find say a GeForce 6200 or Radeon X1550. Don't spend more than $50 or $60.

Remember that it must be AGP to fit on your motherboard. Another thing to consider is that any AGP video card you buy for you current system will not work in any new computer.

Dell Dimension 4100 Mobo upgrade to a P4 based system

Well the two would not be compatible cause one is a P3 and the next is a P4 two completely different socket types so it wouldn't work but what u can do is buy a new motherboard if u want to upgrade to a P4...thats the only thing that is recommended from such a devices cause an upgrade wouldn't be possible to do .
