I installed 2 GB of RAM in my HP Media Ctr PC today, and now for some reason my network adapter isn't working. It either shows that the device won't start, or that the network cable isn't connected.
I've checked the cable, reset the router, uninstalled and reinstalled the device, restarted my computer...
I'm running XP.
Any ideas? Did it just coincidentally croak?

The RAM installed was identical OEM from our other HP Pavilion. Rather than take everything apart again, I slapped a separate network card in, disabled the adapter, and that worked.

If you remove the newly installed RAM, does the NIC come back ?
