Still cannot get my computer to change from numbers pad to letters on my laptop [email protected]

press the abc pad on the bottom left
that is the one that changes from letters to numbers

Find the login box on the main page.

Click on the "next" button at the bottom of the screen.

Enter an alternative email address where you can retrieve your password.

Press "submit." Retrieve your AOL password from the alternate email address you entered.

You have press the NumLk key (number lock) and this changes the right hand keys to a number pad.
Press the NumLk key (also doubles as the ScrLk key to toggle the Number lock). it is near the F12 function key. When the NumLk has been enabled a LED light is turn on to indicate this function has been selected. Press the NumLk key again to turn off the Number Lock. b>

got to the BIOS using F10 or F1 ..try to tap the numbers and letter keys ..if u get the beep sound then its not a problem with the MB ..but if u dont get a beep sound ...

u need to replace the touch pad cover inside the computer

Hi, try pressing the numlock key - this should put the number pad as standatd until it is pressed again, when it will revert to letters.

Hold the "Fn" key down while pressing "F9" key, subtitled "Padlock" (!!) - is equivalent to NUM LOCK nomenclature used on most computers. Note - Repeating above resets number pad to ON.

If that doesn't work for you something is malfunctioning as far as I know.

Check to see if Num Lock is turned on. Depending on your computer, it may light up the key with a green light, or a green light may be lit near the part of the computer where the screen is connected to the computer.

Make sure NumLock is OFF.
