Then maybe you dont have enough free space.
This may mean your Hard drive is short on space, but i doubt that is your problem, it probably means the file you are encoding a file that will then be too large for the DVD disc.
How big is the file ??
I am sorry i cant be of more help, i dont have any experience with Macs

MFC-665cw unable to print 50

Did you have a paper jam before this happened? If yes then the paper must have pushed the encoder strip out of alignment.

hen you open the printer so that you can see the print head, move the print head with your hands, pull it to the middle. The space immediately to the front of the printer is blocked by the plastic shield. you can curl your fingers down under this shield. you will feel the encoder strip, which is about 8 mm wide, and is a plastic ribbon, or strip. It runs from left side to right side across the printer, in a vertical orientation. This is the encoder strip. Past this you can feel a longer rubber belt, which is about 3 mm wide. This is not the encoder strip, it is a belt and you don't need to be concerned with this.

Place your fingers on the encoder strip on either side of the print head, and flex it, bending it up and slightly back and then release it. Try this several times. Do this with power on. Once the encoder strip is back into it's slot the printer will start a cleaning cycle and start working.

Solution found here originally.

Lexmark X2480 encoder strip completely fell off

Hello. If the encoder strip just fell off but not broken/ripped apart/torn, try if you can have your hand hook it up back to its place. I believe it just goes back in to a hook on the side. That might be difficult to do though since the hook is all the way to the side and there's not much enough space for your hand to move. But if your printer is still within warranty, try to call Lexmark and hope they can replace it for you. Hope I can assist you more on this.

I made a movie on my mac laptop with Imovie and I can't seem to burn it to a dvr correctly?

OK ..basically you need to get it from iMovie to IDVD. There you can burn a DVD. What I would do is this.
(You need the application iDVD on your laptop to do this). Open iMovie HD(my Great Movie). The word File is no the top. Scroll down to Export..chose iDVD on the right and click Share. It will launch the iDVD application. Then when you have put what you want in iDVD you can burn a DVD with one click of the icon. Here is a very excellent tutorial on how to use iDVD and burn to a DVD http://www.apple.com/ilife/idvd/ another way to do this is to export the movie to Quicktime rather than iDVD save it as a file..then go to iDVD. Open that and import that quicktime file and then burn the DVD. I am not sure which is better. I would try both.

IDVD movie opens before menu when played on DVD player

In your iDVD project go into the DVD Map menu.
(Little flow chart like icon in the bottom-middle of the iDVD menu screen.)

Look for the very first icon in the map. (Upper left)
This has a small DVD symbol and a play icon on it.
Delete this icon.
Re-burn your DVD.
The menu should be shown first now when you play the DVD.

Memory

How much memory do you have available? (Are you sure the Trashbin is empty). I have mooved all music to external harddisk to free up space. I have found that the computers work best if the have atleast 40% free space. You can also try to move the imovie files to external HD and burn from there.

Good luck.

Error message, There is not free space...........

this is nothing to do with the writer, the space it is refering to is your c drive hard drive space. When a dvd burns a video or photos etc, it has to write the image of whatever you are getting it to write it to your hard drive first, then when all the files are checked and encoded it will only then burn to the dvd disc. Your problem is you do not have enough free space on your hard drive for this to happen, that is why an error is reported. A dvd needs atleast 5GB of hard drive space to encode it first then burn it so check in the properties of your C drive to see how much space you have left, a minimum of 10GB is recommended.
