Question about Cell Phones

2 Answers

Last night a phone number I do not recognise rang my phone, but never left a message. I did 1471 and the number is 01379 870428. I do not know anyone in the Suffolk area around Diss/Eye etc. I live in Chatham, Kent. I tried to call he number back today, but a recorded message said the number 'was invalid'. I have checked on the website and the number is Valid , belongs to the location I have put above and the number is a BT owned one. Can anyone tell me how I can find out who the number belongs to? Could it be that someone has unplugged their phone, so I can't ring back or what?? I really need to know who called me and was frightened to leave a message.

But why would someone ring, not leave a message and then all of a sudden disconnect the phone?
How comes the phone number is invalid when I rung it, but not when 'whoever' rang me last night??

This is NOT a Cellular phone problem. It is a landline problem. I meant to say that when I phoned the number back today, the woman's recorded message was 'the number you have dialled has not been recognised'. Not what I originally put.

Friend, All telecom companies give some numbers for tele-marketing. These are the unlisted numbers and can not be called back. The call that you received is one of those calls trying to market some products. The number is genuine but unlisted and cannot be called back. It happens to most of us everyday. So, please do not give it a second thought. All you can do is to register your number with a service "Do Not Disturb", if your country has one. Once registered, such calls will stop unless they are from your service provider. To do this you must call up the helpline of your service provider.

Hello. The websites are always the last to learn that a number has been disconnected. You could try using what is called a reverse phone book which will allow you to type in the number and then it will give your the info on who's number it is. To find the reverse phone book just google reverse phone book... J.

Hi there,
Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Power substation blew up last night, which meant flickering lights, and low power (extremely weird). Today I have power -- finally -- but I can't reset my oven like I usually do when there is a power...

You have a defective touch pad(stuck button) probably from the surge that happened last night. to access this you will need to disconnect power and remove the back upper panel. Usually four screw hold on the board. Make sure when you are changing the board swap wire for wire to ensure correct install.

"00 msg slots left."

click HOME, then go to SETTINGS, then you go down to MORE, then go to SECURITY, and it will ask for a USER LOCK ( it is the last FOUR digits of your cell phone number like for ex. 555-465-6788. 6788 could be the last for digits if this was somebody's cell phone number. after that click ERASE/RESET, and erase ALL of your Web cache; web history; and web cookies and erase all of your messages if you scroll down.

Electronic touch pad not working on my oven

Hello beachlady80,

You said, It was working fine last night but when you woke up this morning the display has 3 vertical lines and none of the electronic touch pads work. The burners on top of the stove still work.

What is the model number and how old is the range ?

Try turning the breaker off for 10 minutes and then on again after this allotted time.
This may reset the system.
Let me know how it works.

Waiting for your answer.

Please remember to leave a rating.
Hopefully it will be a solved!

Enable Custom Messages

It's hard to see what you recorded the custom messages on, since you left that part out.

I'm guessing that whatever you recorded the messages on has a manual. Try reading it. Is your day greeting a custom message or is it one of the 32 announcements? However you play that message, you need to either replace it, or assign a new message or mode to the auto attendant.

Power outage last night. Deleted all saved voicemail messages. when turned on - machine says "no massages" How do I retrieve lost messages?

I'm sorry there isn't. Answering machines like this have very little ROM memory. After a powersurge and outage like last night, it wiped the whole memory chip. You can try there support page. It's actually pretty good.
