Question about SanDisk Sansa e260 MP3 Player
I want to be able to view, add and delete songs from my Sansa e260, but my computer will not recognize it as an mp3 player. Whenever I plug it in via the USB port, my computer will try to install the software for the device, but it will fail every single time.
Windows Media Player will not recognize it as a device, only in MSC mode. Even on MSC mode, I cannot view or delete songs from the mp3 player.
Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.
